Ideally how many WR does LSU need on the roster to effectively run Crowton's offense.

Personally I think Crowton uses 4 and 5 WR set way too much considering our 4th and 5th WR were CMitchell and RJJackson.

Texas has 5 receivers who have caught at least 20 passes this year who are coming back next year. 3 will be back in 2011.

I think Texas is a better program and will continue to be throughout his time in college.

Not to mention, their offense will stay potent.

If he's as good as he and others think he is, he's going to be fine.

LSU is a program I'd probably stay away from for the time being if I were an offensive player.

The only programs I would rate as being potentially more desirable are USC, Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama for OL and RB, and Notre Dame (for the offensive recruits).

...and he chose Texas, which is on your list.

I'd probably add several more teams.

Crowton can't develop a QB. Stud can't coach an OL. With a poor OL and an underdeveloped QB, you can't have a good offense.

If I were a recruit, I'd chose others until Crowton is gone or shows he can field a good offense with players he developed.

I was just speaking for a general offensive recruit. For a receiver, LSU should be pretty high up because of the depth situation behind Toliver and Randle. Texas has 5 established guys next year with 3 or 4 freshman coming in. It's a bit like the unrealistic scenario that people had for LSU last year when Debose, Bell, Randle, and Benton were all coming in.

No running game this year with an experienced OL.

Losing their center and the left side of the OL.

New QB who (highly rated out of HS ) has taken less than 50 snaps (half of those against Baylor) while McCoy padded his stats.

Sounds like the makings of a potent offense to me.

He's from Texas, likes Texas, and feels at home at Texas. It's his life, and he wants to stay closer to home. As long as it makes mom happy, that's all anyone could ask for.
We should want each player to go where he feels is the best place for him to be.
Texas and LSU have good programs, and he will do well at either if he works hard.
The food in La. is the best in the world. Texas does have good bar-b-q.

As long as you are a bama fan nothing you say about lsu recruiting amounts to anything but "flaming.". So please sthu and go to the sec rant.

And thats fine, but just don't make a commitment a year away and hold it for 10 months and THEN decide to back out of it. If you're at all unsure, DON'T commit.
