No one even associated with the program is dropping 5 mill on one recruit. I doubt we have even come close to 5 mill period since NIL came about.

He's definitely pulling those numbers out of his arse, or more correctly, out of JD5s arse.
If he lives up to his end of the bargain he will certainly be making that kind of scratch before he leaves, but we are certainly not handing him 5 mil to come to LSU.

and what place would Michigan and Ohio State be in each year if they played in the SEC? Its kinda easy to be one or two in basically a two team league with Penn State rising up every now and then.

That's rich coming from a team who has just 1 national title (split title at that) in the last 70+ years. We have 3 since 2003, and would be more if we played their weak arse schedule every year.
