Even though that 2nd run only went for about 15 yards, it was really impressive. He took a couple people for a ride.

I'll admit that I have not seen any other film on Ford but from this film, he looks like a faster Charles Scott.

The guy gets down low and runs behind his pads, doesn't go down with arm tackles, and looks like he can hit the hole - then punch it into another gear.

I'm pumped about seeing him in purple and gold!

Since Ford got back from the MH bowl, he has been wearing a purple and gold belt with his name on the back and LSU on either side.

It is against dress code at LHS - black or brown belts only - but not even *I* will call him down for it.

He is also wearing other LSU gear.

SOLID KID - cannot wait to see him in full dress LSU p/g.

That run starting at 2.19 on the film was really fun to watch! Seems like the offense for Ford consisted mainly of runs up the middle. With his speed, I wonder why they didn't run something to get him outside?

Because they were running five wide sets and were throwing about 70 percent of the time.

He fumbled 8 times and lost 5 in 340 carries this season. I believe a few of those were bad pitches or exchanges.

That video was less than inspiring....although his long run at the end was really nice.

Was waiting for one of these posts to come out.

You do realize this is not a recruiting site highlight tape right? These are all of his carries.

Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled that he is a Tiger, but just didn't think the video that included all of his carries was awesome.

Thanks Cajun. Also, any studs to look out for in the next couple of years at Leesville or in the area?

I thought the opposite. I thought that it proved he will be a great running back in the SEC. He showed a toughness and willingness to run the ball inside while taking care of the football...and it also showed he has the ability to make some moves and get to the outside with nice speed.

Seeing as this wasnt a "highlight" film, it was impressive.

I have two names to keep in mind for future years at Leesville. Levander Liggins (5-11, 170) was a sophomore receiver this past year (30-535, 6 TDs) and will take over at quarterback next season as a junior. Great athlete who scored 34 points last night in a hoops game.

The other name is way way into the future. We'll have a kid coming up from eighth grade next season who will likely start day one as a receiver. Charles Williams (6-5, 200) who should be a big time prospect should he keep working hard.

just getting out of the 8th grade and already 6'5" 200 lbs? sounds like he'll grow into a TE.
