Risking federal mail fraud charges to sway a kid to a college. Great Arkansas logic.

You notice he left the thread after you kind folks pointed that out. :blowmywhistle

This might be why his interest in LSU kind of went down. Now that this BS has been fixed you may see more interest similar to what he had this time last year. Pretty low to not give the kid his letters, especially from a team with multiple BCS championships.
Yeah. We were his favorite until this past season. He grew up a big LSU fan. I knew something must've happened to go from his favorite to not even in his top 3. This explains a lot. But I'm glad to hear everything's been resolved now, with signing day still a year away. More than enough time to fix things. I definitely think we'll be in the mix.
I'll try and find the articles where he talked about wanting to play for LSU if anyone's interested. I think they were from his sophomore year.

LSU was his favorite last year for a reason. If the Hogs have another downer year as expected, LSU will be right in the thick of things. Plus, Hogs will have a lot of depth ahead of Dwyer whereas LSU won't.

Why did the Hogs become his favorite then AFTER they went 5-7?
Although I agree the RB depth chart at Arkansas may scare him off. I don't know why Petrino went out and got 4 RBs this year with Dyer this year.

That would be the most outrageous string of events to ever create a "coincidence" that I have ever heard if true. Kinda reminds me of Joe McKnight getting to talk to Reggie Bush on a call from Pete Carroll.

DMAC was at the UK game

Houston Nutt is no longer the coach of the Razorbacks and Recruiter Tim Horton is a stud and the RB coach

All schools Dyer would be looking at have great RB's
One of the 3 is going to play LB and Green could only have 2 years of eligibility remaining.

There's a difference though when you have to compete with a bunch of young guys vs. upper classmen who will be gone in a year or two.
Taking in as many RBs as Arky did this year tells me they aren't as confident as you think they may be in landing Dyer. Why take so many RBs when there's Dyer coming around the bend?

We lose 2 SR's this year leaving 2 JR's and probably 1 Soph and 1 RSF when Dyer comes in. (Don't know what will happen with Green)There is nothing wrong with RB depth in a RB league.
They recruited 2 and 1 wanted to transfer in...The other thing is that the guy everyone thought was going to take the starting job last year can't hold on to the damn ball.
We will at most sign around 20 next year and possibly around 18...We will most likely ONLY take 1 RB next season...That being Dyer.

I agree. But there definitely could be a potential problem when you have too many RBs that could scare off RB recruits.
Looking at the 2008 roster it looks like you'll have 2 seniors, 1 junior and 2 sophomores returning (scholarship RBs). Now add 2, possibly 3 freshmen to that. That's 7 or 8 RBs. Going to 2010 (the Dyer would come in) you are already adding Green. That will leave you with 1 senior, 3 juniors and a mix of 2 or 3 sophomores or redshirt freshman (fromthe 2009 class). So 6 or 7 guys with all of them but 1 being juniors or less. So in Dyer's freshman year he would be competing against 6 or 7 guys and only 1 of those guys would be leaving after his freshman year.
That's the kind of stuff that can scare off a top recruit. Playing time that looks impossible to come by early on.

You just better show some improvement from last year.
If Arkansas ends up being 5th or 6th, and Houston Nutt has Ole Miss rolling again, then there will be plenty of negative press in Arkansas. Petrino's promises of turning things around will seem hollow...especially if Malzahn has any immediate success.

They didn't. The Hogs became his Fav way before 5-7. In fact, the reason other teams are creeping in now is because the Hogs went 5-7. It was Petrino's first year but if he has another crappy year, I think it will hurt their chances with Dwyer a lot. Don't forget, the Hogs had the top freshman RB in the SEC.
