How come it's easy for Mississippi players to go to Bama or anywhere out of state but it's like Kryptonite for them to go to LSU. I really don't understand the hate for Louisiana.

Easy answer: There's no hate for LSU, it's all about recruiting tactics by other schools and coaches. Don't forget ALA is providing nearly twice as much stipend money as LSU. Kids are being sold on a Charger with 22"s, an oppty to play for the greatest CFB HC of all time, a chance to win several NC's, and be developed to play in the NFL after 4-5 years. 18-19 yr. old kids have no loyalty these days as they're easily influenced by material things and the easiest way to success.

This kid is a monster and I would take him before Sophser every day of the week. This kid has a high motor and is relentless on every play. This kid will be a prize recruit and I'm hoping he commits to the Tigers a second time and signs this time around!

Sopsher probably has more raw potential than McKinnley ...but, yeah, there are motor and motivational issues.

Consider this: Sopsher has 3+ inches and 10+lbs on McKinnley, yet Sopsher is projected as a SDE while McKinnley is projected as a NT.

Why are we so happy about the possibility of getting 3 good DL next year when Bama signs 7 each year

You talking about McKinnley, right? This would be great news, although obviously everything will probably change 1-2 dozen times in the next year+.

However, now that I think of it, both MS DE's Handy and Moore from the current class are likely going to end up there...I hope they're not all baws, and I hope McKinnely isn't thinking of having his two MS baws playing on each side of him in college.

Because we don't sign 3 good DL every year.

Because LSU can do good things independent of what Alabama does.

I asked about his coach that's pro bama. He laughed and said that wouldn't be an issue in his choice. He wants to take his visits first.
He played running back coming up til he bulked up. He is quick

Well, that's good news.

Us getting a quick NT of his size next cycle would be ideal.

I'm hearing from some coaches that he is going to Auburn because he apparently has an uncle or cousin on the staff. Don't know who it is, but apparently they are close. Will be interesting to see how this unfolds because he's a freakin' beast and everyone will be vying for his signature!

Well, that's not good news, it always some BS like that you despise. It's certainly frustrating when you have the relative or the ex HS coach on the staff routine to lure the kid there.

This. The Bama obsession about every thing they do is rantarded and asinine. It is about us not them. There are things that LSU can control and succeed at regardless of what Bama does or does not do. Get a clue people!!!

Makes a slam dunk visit all the more important. Get the recruits on campus and you are still in the ball game with them.

He doesn't even have a top 10 right now. However he has serious ties to Bama and State and that whole area goes either Bama or State. He'll end up at one of those schools and no he isn't anything like Powe.

Because JA in another major screw up mishandled the stipend that LSU was approved for and came in under Bama when he didn't have to if he wasn't such a screw up.

He can't just fix this now?

Having your primary competition pay more money to the recruits that you're hoping to land doesn't seem very smart at all.
