I don’t see it happening. Once he decommitted, the ship likely sailed. He’s a strong lean to Bama and we have our sights set on Roy, Guillory, Wright, and Jackson.

Hard to count on Mississippi players. I'd give it about 10% right. Would love to have him, but I'd be more than OK to have the Roy, CamRon, and Guillory trio! What's more, chances seem good with the Wright kid out of Texas. Jackson is great, but he's not a must have. IMO

I seemed to have upset a couple of people with reality so let me amend my previous statement to:

HELL YES HE's ALL LSU! In fact, we're gonna sign every single 5-star player next year! We get em all!!!

I agree it’s an uphill battle with his HS coach being all Bama.

Keep after him as previously stated but no more so than other major targets.

Sometimes people downvote the message because it sucks and not a reflection on the poster.

Grow thicker skin.

HAHA! Thicker skin. Good one. I couldn't care less what anyone on this board thinks of me. Don't know them, don't care.

It is laughable though that people don't want to hear anything other than "absolutely we get him (everyone)!"

And yes, that does suck...for them.

But thank you for your concern.

Dude get over it. I get downvoted all the time and you don't hear me bitching. Who cares?

If LSU plays their cards right then it's still a possibility with Jackson. He's a real talent and there's no way Orgeron isn't going to pull all stops out to get him. He's extremly talented. He's strong as a horse and quicker than anyone in the class by a good margin. His hands are already developed for a young guys also.

The reason he committed is because when he came to camp Orgeron worked with him exclusively, showed him some moves and they worked immediately for him. He knew right there that O could do things for his game. I guess since then that this coach has been in his ear trying to minimize what coach O taught him as though everyone on the college level could do that for him but he's got to ask himself if that's true then why didn't they prior?

I know this if my coach was pushing me the opposite way of what my heart felt was right, I'd commit to that school for sure then. Hopefully he realizes that Bama is filthy loaded with talent at his position and he can come in to start and help immediately here while also being developed into that first round pick.

McKinley Jackson is a monster. Very quick and agile for his size, would be a huge get. But, if LSU can land CamRon, Roy and Guillory, Mckin Jackson would be icing on the cake. Roy has gotten more and more athletic each year he has played HS ball. His size and strength are overwhelmingly jaw dropping. Guillory has the complete package and that same athletic ability. CamRon is right there with them as well. But Orgeron needs to start keeping these early commits on board. Just this past season there were several players who'd committed early and went elsewhere. Kenyon Green probably the one that hurt the most.

You got 4 fricking down votes and you're whining like a little bitch. Grow a pair. There are other posts saying it's unlikely we get him that have way more upvotes than down votes.

Perhaps it's YOU they don't like and not your message?

IDK, just spit balling here.

There is a big difference between steering kids certain ways and actively gloating on a team message board about getting your player to decommit from a certain school.
If he wasn’t in bumfrick Mississippi I would say that is a fireable offense.

Even w/ moving Camron Jackson from DT to OT, I just don't see how we could convince Guillory, Roy, Wright AND McKinney Jackson to sign w/ LSU. Even if Wright keeps his weight down (he's currently 294 but you have to figure a jr. in high school w/ put on more weight) to be a SDE candidate, the other 4 are big boys and would be suited for NT in my opinion. I guess Roy at 306 could stay there or drop a few also.

I wish we could count on slimming guys down some, but our track record for that isn't very stellar (although Shelvin made progress). We tend to bulk guys up - Lawrence, Fehoko, etc...

It seems like the only way we get all of these guys is to convince them that Roy and Wright are SDE's and Jackson and Guillory are NT's. (Only Bama seems to be able to convince multiple elite guys to sign at the same position group - see 2019 OT's, SDE's and WDE's Plus they are the favorite to land THE top 2 WDE's for 2020 and if they get McKinney Jackson, they'll have the #1 and #2 DT for 2020 as well.) It's almost laughable at this point.

NT - McKinnley and Guillory
DT/SDE - Roy and Wright

I obviously want all of them, but, depending on what happens to close out this year's class, we may want to take 3+ non-NT dlinemen next year.

That's a good point also. Coach O is obviously focused on D-line to close out the 2019 class (Sopsher, Young, Pickering and others), so if we snag at least 2 D-line (I'm not counting Rodney Sopsher), then I just don't see where we could get all 4 for 2020. Hope I'm wrong.

My prediction - we close out w/ just the Sopsher bro's to go along w/ Evans and Ika, then end up w/ Roy, Guillory and Wright in 2020 w/ McKinney going to the Gumps. I think it wouldn't hurt to add another SDE, b/c even if we get Ish and he wants to play SDE, he needs to lose weight and I'd bet against that. I wouldn't count on both Roy and Wright staying in the SDE weight range either.

Roy's movement for his size is elite...I think he'd have to gain a lot of weight for us to even think about moving him inside. He's sort of similar to Ish in this regard.

I could see Wright getting too big for the outside, though...hopefully this doesn't happen.

How come it's easy for Mississippi players to go to Bama or anywhere out of state but it's like Kryptonite for them to go to LSU. I really don't understand the hate for Louisiana.
