North Dakota, Prairie View, Stony Brook, a guard from the worst team in the SEC (South Carolina)….wow, McMahon really means business this offseason going after these heavy hitter programs!

I’m sincerely confused as to why any top players are going to choose LSU over our rivals when the bag offer is the same size.
I’ll be honest, I don’t even know how much I buy McMahon being such a great guy. He has no relationship with donors, he does nothing to promote the program besides free donuts to kids. You could make a decent argument this clown is fleecing the university for millions and getting to be the cool dad
He doesn’t show any emotion on the sidelines. Honest question does this mother fricker even try?

You might be right but how DO YOU know he doesn’t try to promote the program.Talk is cheap if you have facts post them, just don’t say what the haters want to hear.

I know because this program is fricking dead. I don’t have to journal the day to day of Matt McMahon. Watching his product on the court is torture enough

Need to add Pitt G Jaland Lowe

I’ve heard and seen rumors that we’ve been talking to Lowe behind the scenes but nothing confirmed yet so I didn’t want to add him just yet.

Lowe would be a good get. I was impressed with him at the Greenbrier

Yeah he would. Word is that he also wants to test the nba draft waters

Graves reminds me of a better shooting jalen rose.
He can handle the ball some and is a good shooter. Not going to blow you away with his athleticism.
He is very intentional with what he does with the ball. Almost like an old school player.

Donovan dent entered the portal. Time to put that budget to WORK

Dent is only looking at blue bloods unfortunately.
On another note, Corey Chest will be visiting A&M this weekend

McMahon loves him some 30% 3 point shooters.

Corey Chest is not an SEC starter next year.
Maybe in a few years. He has ZERO offensive skillset, relies on athleticism and effort. His effort is 50/50. He would be a fantastic 10mpg off the bench guy. Everybody remembers him for 2 games. He essentially averaged 5/6 in SEC play. I would love to have him back, but he cannot shoot or dribble. He is a role player and will go to a P4 school and be a role player
Give me Reed/Miller/good transfer/Collins if he wants to be a role player
Robert Miller might become a force if he continues to show aggression

Makes sense. Buzz's teams always focus on attacking the boards.

If he played with a lead guard that was worth a damn he could make his living off easy feeds to him and putbacks. I doubt McMahon finds that so your point probably stands.

You should look up what Miller averaged in SEC play

Agreed I guess. Bright spot for last years team where rest of the team has no grit or intensity and appear soft and poorly conditioned. These skills in Chest necessary to offset the massive lack of these attributes of his teammates. He’ll grab 20 boards if he ever plays against LSU in future.

Chest has Zero offensive skills....he can rebound, but offers nothing offensively. Robert Miller has great potential, reminds me of Tim Duncan.

I like Miller a lot too. I hope he stays. Just pointing out that for last years pathetic team, Chest stood out with his motor and his physicality whereas for McMahon’s tenure, his teams appear soft and not conditioned. LSU toughest physically when Chest in the game and playing well. He was the best player on the floor against Alabama. I didn’t watch the K State game but I suspect he was best or 2nd beat for LSU in that game too. A loss in my book, but not sure McMahon knows how to utilize him appropriately. Wish him the best. Stinks it didn’t work out here. I suspect he’ll be a welcome addition somewhere else.
