I have my beef with Bebe at times, but Orgeron almost always only signs guys that are very athletic. LSU wouldn’t go after Langlois if he wasn’t an top athlete

But I don't.

I want to capitalize on the great season we just had and have a Bama/Clemson-level program — rather than one that flashes every 4-5 years like you and other content fans are happy with

Those programs get the players they want and don’t have to go 5-6 spots deep on their Board very often. Especially embarrassing to be “DBU” and have to do it

Serious question, how long have you been an LSU fan?

Unless I'm mistaking you for someone else, you are a new fan who just latched on during our best season ever. Correct?

Unless your number is 45 years or more, then you would be wrong.

Man that is one hell of a list of gritty players that use their football acumen to make up for any lack of athleticism!

Im with ya bud. We should be picking up almost everyone we want like Bama, osu,Clem, and UGA. We have more titles than 3 of those teams in the last 20 years. We should go after the studs and reel them in. We shouldn't be just a hat on the table. O is supposed to be a great recruiter

I mean, Nattys aside, how many Thorpe & Bednarik winners do we need in a decade to lure elite Safeties?

How many top draft picks and nfl all-pros before Bill Busch can do better? Gee and Langlois are two of the lowest rated kids in the class. I don’t fault him for Gee because that was his man early and he targeted him and beat out Clemson for him. So, ratings aside, he made an eval and got his man and that’s all we can ask for.

But DB Recruiting at LSU should be like QB recruiting at Oklahoma. Easy money

genuinely confused on why we offer players like this.

Let me help you out. It’s confusing because there are ”stars” and recruiting rankings, but LSU’s goal is to not to win recruiting championships, it’s to win football games. Sometimes that means when they are evaluating multiple kids at the same position, they disagree with the recruiting services and value the 3-star as much as, or more than, the 4 or even the 5 star.

Stars certainly matter, and people who say they don’t are wrong.

But that’s not all that matters.

There are extenuating circumstances, especially this year, with no camps, visits, etc.

Does anyone really think that Langlois got a fair evaluation from the recruiting sites?

Their evals are sketchy at best on a good day. Sure, they get the 5 stars right usually, who anyone can see the talent.

I trust our coaches, especially on in-state players (more so in a year like this)

Langlois is almost good enough as a Senior in HS to take Todd Harris spot NOW!

Dude has a sixth sense like Honey Badger!
