Louisiana recruits are always underrated every year. The 3 stars are most likely 4 stars. That stats prove this.

100% true right here. This is because a lot of Louisiana high schools don’t have the resources that Texas/Florida schools have. A lot of Louisiana high school players don’t reach their full potential in high school and still have a ton of room to get better in college. They also don’t have the big name recognition that other high schools in the country have so they don’t get awarded as many stars.

Would’ve been a 5 star if his name was Mason Manning

1. Taylor is mixed

2. Will Shipley was a 5 star #2 RB in the 2022 class, and Drew Sanders was a 5 star #1 athlete in the class in 2020. A couple DL over the past 5 years have been white. The best TEs are usually around 50/50 white and black.

3 Star it is!!
yet Arch Manning can be completely mediocre and trash in some games, not go to any events, and compete with nobody and be the #1 player in the country because "potential". The only "potential" they are talking about is the fact that his last name is Manning. Extremely ridiculous and sho2s you the biases of how Taylor with elite pedigree too, is rated as the 51st best TE 247.

He had a huge first game his senior season against a nationally ranked team, like 10 catches for 135 yards or something close. People were asking how was he rated so low after dominating a good high school team like that.

Then it's like his own team forgot he existed the rest of the season and he averaged like 2 catches a game. Never had another game that went for more than like 50 yards.

Might be the dumbest statement I read in a long time. FYI - do some research on Mason Taylor's dad and overall HS recruiting rankings by position. The Top 3 TE's in 2021 are white. TE's rarely receive a 5-star ranking as Arik Gilbert and Michael Mayer (both class of 2020) were exceptions. Doesn't matter what color or race a person is. If a high school athlete / college prospect has all the intangibles, speed, size, physicality, and an impressive film, then they will get lots of attention and praise from the various scouting services. Kid could be purple and from Antartica. If he is one of the top 32 players in the country, regardless of position or color, he will be rated as a 5-star.

Why you mad?

It is all about selling subscriptions with these recruiting services. Don't get too caught up in stars. Players get extra stars based on who is recruiting them, and where they go to high school. You get an extra star just for Notre Dame looking at you hard. You get extra stars just for certain physical attributes as well. This has been talked about before on several radio shows I have listed to over the years with Mike Detillier and other scouts.

You really don't want all 5 star guys. A boat load of 4's is best, a few good hits at 3, and light sprinkle of 5's.

LSU as had many complete busts at 5 stars and many super 3 stars.
