She’s a four star ranked 32 in the nation at 6’3 , daughter of an LSU legend .

I'm not sure I understand it either, even if you have higher options on the board to not host is definitely a choice and leaves no room for error now. I think most of us fully expect Joyce to commit to SC when its all said and done so that really only leaves you with Strong and Cambridge.
Aaliyah Chavez and Zakiyah Johnson (#1 and #5 prospects) for 2025 will be visiting LSU next week. Its expected to be a big recruiting weekend for the next couple classes. Some top 2026's are expected to be there, we will see who else.

Unless something changes shortly, that would shock me. LSU and O'Neal haven't been in contact for months and isn't expected to be in this class.
She just visited Florida, she will likely end up at an SEC school or at Baylor.

I just see so many legacy kids go to other schools these days and a shame we more or less passed on shaq's daughter. the publicity and NIL implications makes her an automatic take-especially with Koval off the board

Do you know the facts or are you speculating? Maybe she wants to carve her own path. Maybe she doesn’t want to be at LSU. Everyone always blames LSU and Nil. We are not in those kids minds or on the recruiting visits. I am not worried one bit about the WBB or baseball programs. One coach is a legend and the other is gonna be before all said and done.

You’re an idiot if you don’t think having Shaq’s daughter would be a boon for new NIL and keep our brand momentum. I’m not suggesting LSU doesn’t have money but our WBB is an actual pure use of NiL. Shaq would open the floodgates though I’m sure Kim Mulkey already knows that.

I think you all are worried about nothing. They know what O'Neal brings to the table potentially. If she's not coming for an official visit it may be that she's already let them know she's coming after that unofficial she took, OR she's let them know she's not coming. Either way, our staff will do what is in the best interest of the program.
