Which coach was there for LSU watching Caroline? Wish she would go ahead and commit early. Just stay in Louisiana.

Does she have a chance of graduating early? Man I wish she was already here!
There was some chatter of trying to get her to reclassify to 2026 but not sure if it’ll happen or not yet

Speaking of 2026 & Bigs, I’m curious if you’ve heard anything here: I just came across this tweet that #4 overall 6-4 PF/C Olivia Vukosa narrowed down her 16 schools to 7 and it includes LSU.
I did a mini-YT dive and she says she patterns her game after Breanna Stewart. Has Croatian heritage but speaks like an American playing at Christ the King in NY.
Says she wants a coach who she feels comfortable going to whenever necessary as she knows she will be away from her mom. Says her major would likely be in the medical field, likely pediatrics.

Olivia is also close with Bella Hines and they roomed together during one of the tournaments they played together in. Bella had an IG live with her and several were saying to bring her to LSU. She stayed pretty tight-lipped but said we were definitely in contention.

2026 I’m pretty sure they want to sign Autumn Fleary, Edwards/Vukosa (at least one of those), Chamiah Francis and maybe one other guard/wing (Abii, Trinity Jones, Olivia Jones, Robinson)

Great info. After hearing that she tries to study Breanna Stewart, considering they are the same 6-4 height, now I can't unsee the similar moves and shot selections.

If they do take a guard/wing, I'd take any one of those listed, but Abii just feels like a fit with her outstanding game & effervescent personality. Almost like Flau'jae in MK's body. Plus, she's from Texas and has already visited.
If I had to choose between Vukosa & Edwards, hmm..IDK. Two different styles, two incredible talents. Edwards is so athletic. I know she visited Dawn & SC and just looks like a Watkins/Feagin type. I kind of want that type in the post for LSU. Yet Vukosa looks big, versatile and polished. Plus there's the Bella Hines ties. Too damn hard to choose.

Wish Sheppard only the best, hope she does well there. Would have liked for her to stay, played good defense. Very likeable person, always had a smile on her face.

Any more potential bigs that we can get? Or will we have to roll with Koval, Joyner & Knox this season?

I don’t think there’s much left in the portal as far as I can see.

Not bigs 6'4" and taller. But there are Forwards under 6'4" still left in the portal. Those 3 you mentioned, Koval, Joyner, Knox, are more than capable to start and part of rotation. Maybe we can get another Forward who can come off the bench and give few minutes relief, doesn't have to be starter. Losing Samiyah is probably the one that we wish we could have back.

Losing Williams to UCONN isn’t great but not getting her to LSU isn’t as bad as it seams considering this past team. Smith is 6’2” (6.4 rpg) and played taller than her height and Morrow is 6’1” (13.5 rpg). The majority of our Rebounds came from primarily those two players. Jersey Wolfenbarger Was ok rebounding the ball but was 5th in rebounding behind Flau’ Jae and Mikaylah and Del Rosario was of no value to this team this year. So when you look at what we have coming in with Koval and Knox, all we need is for someone like MK to step up and contribute more to rebounding the ball. Morrow was just a next level rebounder, so if we can get a collective increase in rebounding effort, this team, without Serah Williams, can still be great. I also think Joyner will be better than most fans realize. You just worry about injuries without any depth in the front court.

Well, the portal is closed now and there isn't a deadline for picking a new team really until classes start in the fall. So, that may not necessarily mean they are completely done.

also, grad transfers could still enter the portal…
Posted on 5/5/25 at 1:29 pm to morethanafan
That was old rule, transfer anytime. I think I read Ncaa changed rule last year and passed new rule graduate transfer portal deadline is May 1, 2025.

recruiting is in a dead period currently, right?
Posted on 5/5/25 at 1:45 pm to Smoke Green
Yes, May 5-11 no recruiting, no contact, no visits, no emails, no texts. Coach Kim is in Waco visiting her grandkids.
