I wonder why they stopped recruiting Kaleena Smith. They got one visit from her earlier this year. I wonder if it was because they thought the would get GG. I don't know if I would stop recruiting a player for that reason. ??

South Carolina is focusing on GG Banks Taylor Brown (top 30 recruit also a pg), Jordyn Palmer and Zaniya Johnson is all I know right now. GG decision may not be announced until after Taylor announces who just finished all her visits to her final 3 schools (TN, UNC and SC)

Well if we can't get GG and Johnson, it could leave us options for Samuels and Wilson provided the other two go to SC.

Again, if we don't get Banks OR Smith, we're gonna be in bad shape.............................not to mention we'll have to deal with SC with Banks at the point guard. It may be a while before we can beat them in a game, under those circumstances...........................................................

LSU hasn’t recruited Kaleena in months so not sure why people bring her up. She is busy going on like 20 official visits.

One thing for sure is LSU should have plenty NIL to get at least one more 4 or 5 star players. Even international. I know international must have some great guards.

International players don’t even cost much at all.
They have money. Honestly 2-3 high quality recruits per class is fine and supplement with portal. Classes of 4 to 5 not possible to maintain or keep happy or pay.

Well said. It’s nice that LSU should be covered in the post for up to 4-5 more years with Caroline and Anna. Zaniya would be gravy. They really need to also sign a prep point guard and a prep guard/wing to develop together with the bigs. Supplement these from the portal. Thankfully, guard/wings are plenty in the portal. Point guards and good bigs are at a premium and very expensive. Who knows, they might have already identified some international players to fill these spots.

yeah, i was thinking the same. she didnt post videos of her visits to texas or sc, so maybe it's still a go.
btw, south carolina looked like crap in their exhibition game. i mean, i know it's just to get everyone's feet wet, but for all the hype about how that team is stacked, the girls that played sure did struggle against charleston.
