Three-star cornerback Jay Ward from Moultrie, GA announced Tuesday that he de-committed from Kentucky and has reopened his recruitment.
The news comes just a few days after Ward wrapped up his first visit to LSU for the Alabama game.
The 6-1, 175-pound prospect from Colquitt County High School, received his offer from LSU and defensive back coach Corey Raymond back on October 18th.
Shea said LSU is the favorite to land him. He's currently a 3 star, but is expected to get a nice bump in the rankings.

We should be the favorite looking at his offer list

People will star gaze and criticize but have to trust Raymond here. Impressive highlights. Looks like he's physical and enjoys contact. Hope we get him.

Not to throw shade on Jay Ward but what about Raydarius Jones teammates with Nakobe Dean? We still in the hunt for them?

Anyone know if the door is completely closed on Banks getting back into the class, or is he all A&M at this point?
And before anyone says to just let it go, I'm just more curious where he's going to end up now that it appears Bama has him on the back burner.
I'm asking about a Banks because I assume Ward committing would pretty much shut the door on Banks getting back in.

Kid looks smooth and plays aggressively. His long frame should be an advantage for us if he comes here.

I trust our DB coaches and recruiters - but do we really need 4 or even 5 corners in one class?
I hope we get the best players we can at every position... but seems like our needs are "bigs" and a QB?

Mission accomplished. They were able to get him looking around.
