He still dropped though. He's right on the edge of a 4/5* player.

This should tell us everything we need to know about these sites and their rankings.

Ole Bama went from having 1 top 10 player to having 3.

I think it was Rivals that explained it perfectly years ago. Something about recruits that go to bama obviously being better. As in, if you commit to bama, you get a ratings bump.
No way that helps bama recruit either.

In essence, the recruiting services respect Bama’s evaluations. Then they take a closer look at who they are signing, and adjust mostly upward.

Exactly...and that's insane. That means you get a bump if you commit to bama. In the mind of a 17-18 year old HS kid, that can be powerful...I'd be all about my personal ranking, if I were them at that age. Also, the higher your ranking, the more hype you get as a recruit and as a possible future NFL pick. I mean, 247 even says that their top 32 prospects every year are their mock of what they expect the NFL draft's first round to look like. Right?
I understand that success breads success...I really do believe that. But these sorts of things here with the rankings...that's just too much. It's sneaky and sketchy. I'm sure saban considers himself an innovator, though.

Yeah, me neither.
He's a safety, by the way.

Damn why did Maurcice Hampton drop so much? Just because he didnt go to many camps?

Those Bama guys showed out at the all Star games and earned their rankings. Wait until 247 does theirs. Alfano, Neal, Battle, Egiboie, Banks, Sanders, and the 15+ other top 247 kids they have will rise. They performed on the big stage. If it we're our kids, like Brooks and Ika, we'd be ecstatic. Like or not those top 5-6 ranked Bama kids are legit. Alfano is a manchild. Neal if freakish, Sanders is as athletic as any player in the class, etc. These are things analysts were alluding to across all the sites. Are they supposed to go down?
