Per recruits.lsu on Instagram. Calloway becomes the 8th portal offensive line portal entry for the Tigers
Stay the course.

Stay the course.

There are gonna be a LOT of new faces next year.

Yet somehow Weston Davis is not one of them….make it make sense

Fully new staff. Braelin Moore will be only starter retained. (if he foregoes draft)
Solomon Thomas will likely contend to start as a freshman. Losing a lot from a bad unit doesn't bother me much.

I honestly don't know how you recruit 8 or more OL from the portal. These people in the portal are looking for a chance to play not agreeing to be depth.
The amount of NIL on OL alone will be 10 mil atleast for replacements

I don’t care about faces… I want better play and outcomes

Well, think about the OL coach that was not retained. We talk about about Frank Wilson, but maybe the real cancer was Davis?

Adams and Curne would be welcome back with open arms in my opinion.

Not really….there are a ton of OL in the portal. With the right coaching and development, you could find those raw players, maybe a late bloomer that wasn’t highly recruited out of HS. You can get those guys for CHEAP. You coach them up and watch them grow.

I don’t think so. We saw what happened with guys we did not want to enter the portal at all, Spears one example, the others are Berry, and how hard we are negotiating to keep treydez. If we wanted to keep them they wouldn’t be in the portal I think that much is clear

Way more guys in the portal than guaranteed starting spots on quality teams.

Respect to him

You work to keep Braelin Moore as the cog, you pitch a deal to Adams and/or Curne, then you piece the rest together with portal and freshmen. Depth may be an issue next year, but you can certainly put together a nice starting cast with a guy or 2 waiting in the wings.

Hopefully some come back for cheap because no one wants them.

Why do we want a guy like Weston to enter the portal? He’s a guy that I want to see play next year with better coaching.

I disagree. You can't focus on them all. Some skill guys were obviously the primary focus. I think you'll see some focus shift to offensive line. It's not much different than the NFL now. You can't sign/extend everyone at once. Some will dip their toes in the market. And, in college, every guy is a free agent every year. It's the world we live in now.

With Calloway entering that leaves us with: B. Moore providing he stays, Khayree Lee, Solomon Thomas, Tyler Miller, W Davis, and the Bordelon brothers as well as the 2 high school signees in Miret and Martinez.
