I understand it.
The premise that we need to find a spot to put a failed coach is baffling.
There are plenty of successful coaches to hire. Good coached get caught up in changes all the time.
Steeples isn’t one of them.

Most of the analysts are either young coaches with no experience, or failed on-field coaches trying to work their way into another shot.
Steeples would fit into either category. You apparently think that the analysts positions are filled with all these fantastic coaches. That is incorrect. It's mostly just guys breaking down film and assisting the assistants.
And I know nothing about Steeples. My comment was if Kelly thinks he has potential. Maybe he doesn't. He is still a very young coach.

Exactly!! This place is hilarious. I’m not sure if LSU wants to start offering tons of defensive players before we even know who the next defensive staff will consist of. They might want to have a say in who is offered and who isn’t.
I’m not sure why LSU is waiting so long? We really need to have the new DC in place by next week if we going that route. If not then we need to have the supporting staff at least. We don’t want to fall behind. I’m assuming we’re making the connections at the very least but it would really help to have all this in place.
