Athletes get treated differently, especially football players. They have great amenities
I have watched pretty much any video put out showing LSU's athletic amenities. There is absolutely nothing these athletes are missing and nothing is below top of the line at LSU. This thread is silly.

Other than class the players spend hardly any time outside of the top-notch athletic facilities.

LSU's campus is fine right now. There's a few areas that could use work.
I really do not agree. It was a dump a decade ago and outside of the few recent constructions, it still needs a ton of work.
It will be secondary to athletic facilities of course, but majority of athletes still live life on campus. Making it better shouldn't be scoffed at.

The athletic facilities seem nice AF at LSU, but I’ve never walked through Bama’s. I’m talking about the practice facility…the weight room, locker room, and the auditorium in there is cool as well.

Funneling that money to the recruits instead would work a lot better.

If this state keeps sliding into the shite hole we are moving to the Fla. coast —- but Bama is a close 2nd or 3rd.
Um this caught my eye. Pensacola here. Never heard someone in my life deciding between the Fl. coast and Bama. Thats quite a difference you have there

Y’all are delusional about the state of this city, state and university. They all suck in comparison to other states, cities and campuses.
It's a downfall of being in a major city in La.
If LSU were in a more rural part of La, it could be similar to an Athens, Oxford, Tuscaloosa, etc.

When you walk into a dorm “center” like one of the main ones on Bama’s campus - PRESIDENTS 1 or PRESIDENTS 2, you’ll run into many Bama athletes, basketball
, baseball & football.
Stop right there... in one year your child will be begging and evan demanding to move off campus.
Both my kids stayed one yr in dorms and could not stand it any longer. Go look at all the off campus housing that has blown up down Burbank and Ben Hur. These places cater to students and give individual bedroom leases.

You live in New Orleans, so yep that checks out.

AL is at another level of a campus.

The streetscape around campus can be improved which they're slowly addressing + takes time. They've started replacing parking lots at the core of campus with plazas, lawns, etc. which are improvements. They're about to begin work around the Honors College but there's more in the works. LINK
I'd say that they've been aggressive in updating the older buildings on campus over the last 5-10 years. Especially the dorms but they've also renovated/built a shite ton of other buildings as well. (URec, PFT, LSU Foundation, Memorial Tower, football ops, Huey P Long Fieldhouse, studio art building, new interdisciplinary science building, etc.)
They're in the preliminary design stages for a new library. The updated master plan calls for it to be built at the corner of Field House & South Stadium Dr. (#1 below).

There are upgrades happening all over campus if you pay attention
New veterinarian/animal sciences building just opened
Huey P Long building will be opening soon
New arts building is being worked on after fitting the old one

It is NOT the athletic facilities that I’m discussing. It’s all the other student life & academics facilities. People scoff at me - but many recruits and their mamas WANT an awesome experience while they’re at LSU — whether it be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or even 6 years as an athlete.
I have a feeling CBK will be recruiting much more of those types —- not thugs who don’t care and will probably portal anyway.

Hey Getmore
Some parents (not us) cannot afford off campus living —- and their kids (especially Bama) are on scholarship. Therefore, they do stay on campus.
Do you realize that over 65% of Bama’s current enrollment is out of state?
LSU is the exact opposite.

Is touring student life & academics facilities part of an unofficial or official visit?

What a trash fricking response lol. The athletes are treated well & have the best amenities of any student on campus. Don’t care about your shot nosed like nerd who is afraid of black people

Alabama's campus modernization is almost entirely funded by all the out of state tuition they collect these days.
A bunch of douchebags from New Jersey and Connecticut want to come go to Alabama for football reasons.
Over 60% of incoming freshmen are now out of state students.
