LSU lands a 5 star tennis recruit, I had no idea tennis recruits were rated

LSU men’s tennis head coach Danny Bryan announced the signing of Brock Anderson during 2022 National Signing Day. Anderson will join the Tigers next fall.
“We are thrilled for Brock Anderson to become a Tiger,” head coach Danny Bryan siad. “He loves tennis, competes extremely hard, and has the desire to continue improving his game day in and day out.”
The Mercer Island, Washington Native is a five-star recruit according to tennisrecruiting.net and has been ranked as high as No. 55 in the country for the class of 2022. This past year, Anderson earned a 25-10 record on the court.

Not trying to be an arse but every player on the LSU tennis team is a 5 star or foreigner.

Yeah, and I’m not sure what I should really expect, but thought a 5* tennis player would have a better overall record than 25-10. Guess it depends who they played, or maybe a typo at 25-1?

The top 100 players in the country are basically all 5 stars. We got a guy who is like 90th in the country.

Aren't 5 stars reserved for those projected to be drafted in the 1st round? What league is drafting tennis players?

Looking at the these lists, it appears the level of elite talent comprising Louisiana high school football teams doesn’t similarly extend to tennis
