You're actually correct imo. If we were to land Flowe he'd definitely be in the conversation and likely at the top.
I've been around and hardcore fillowing LSU recruiting quite a while now and considering where he's from and his level of eliteness on a national scale, it would be hard to say Flowe isn't the biggest pull in a decade if it were to happen. He's got all the heavy hitters invloved and involved deeply. We all want him.

If you don't like following recruiting then DON'T.

Why don't you just come back to the recruiting board after signing day, instead of making stupid comments leading up to it.

Not just fans. The players, media and alumni wanted him also. Marcus Allen who is considered to be USC's best RB ever over OJ Simpson and Reggie Bush was on record that he wanted Coach Eaux.

The USC band made a song for him.

Brent Musburger: "There's an energy that is affecting the Stanford Cardinal offense. Coach O has ignited a fire with the USC faithful."

Reign of Troy a USC website disagrees.

Ranking the 10 best USC running backs of all-time

1. Marcus Allen
1978 - 1981

When he took on the full-time running back role he proved his dominance rushing for an ungodly 3,990 yards over the course of two seasons more than the career totals for Anthony Davis, Ricky Bell, Ronald Jones II and O.J. Simpson. During that time he rushed for 200 yards in a game an NCAA-record 11 times.

In fact, he set or tied 16 NCAA records as a Trojan and was the first collegiate running back to eclipse the 2,000 yard mark during the regular season.

In the NFL, Allen’s star only shined brighter. En route to a place in the NFL Hall of Fame, Allen became the first player in pro history to gain at least 10,000 yards rushing and 5,000 yards receiving. He also guided the Raiders to a Super Bowl victory, earning MVP honors in the process.

At Tailback U, being the best running back ever means being a king among kings. Allen simply did it all.

2. O.J. Simpson 1967 - 1968

Tweet from Sonny Shipp of 24/7. I think Kendall Milton is coming on April 15th so I'm not sure who is coming tomorrow.

That was an interesting dialogue between Herbie and Brent while in the background the USC students were doing the "O" chant and cheer.

It is surprising to folks in SEC country just how popular coach Orgeron was out there. (I lived out there for a short while and still have some connections to talk to about him)

So many of you who are critical of O don’t realize how popular he was at USC and that many of their fans wanted him as their coach. Instead they went with Sark, Helton, etc. and over at UCLA Mora ran the program down and Chip is a has been who will disappoint in Westwood. O has a brand in Cali and that is why the Tigers are recruiting well out West.

Another factor is that for these top level players the PAC12 is a dumpster fire with regard to the Playoffs for the next few yrs. If these kids want to be seen and featured in meaningful games they will need to come east.

Thanks for the list. I just saw that about Jermaine in the Draine thread. It is unbelievable the number of top 10 guys out of California visiting LSU this year.

The information I quoted came from a USC website.

I don't give a crap about OJ or Marcus. As far as I know I have never seen either one of them carry a football even one time.

I saw OJ run through airports in a commercial, from the cops in a white Bronco and act in the "Naked Gun" movies. That is the extent of my expertise on both of the former USC running backs.

All you need to know is that all 3, Allen, OJ and Bush were better than anyone we've ever had. Quite a history they have at RB out there.

I only saw Bush In college , Allen pro and it's hard to fathom either of the other 2 being better than Bush was. History says so but I'm leaning to equal at best because Reggie was something unique and special. Was literally a threat every time he touched the ball. Over 500 yards total vs Fresno. Electric personified

I think it’s a great move by O and company. Jumbo just made raiding Texas harder and Bama will continue to cherry pick $$ our top instate targets.

We may lose one or two a year. Need to get DTs and DEs from OOS to compensate for in state Benedict Arnolds and guys who have family who have leaky roofs and belong to churches in need of new steeples.
