LSU has only one player from 247's all-time top 50 recruits

That player was Leonard Fournette at number 16. Kind of an interesting stat considering all the talent that LSU has put in the NFL. It seems from this that LSU has developed a good culture of recruiting mature athletes who are focused on developing their skills. There also seems to be bias favoring athletes from CA.
By comparison, USC has 6, Clemson has 5, Florida has 4, Bama has only 3, Georgia has 3, Ohio State has 3, Miami has 3, Ole Miss and ND each have 2.

LOL
In the Top 100....
Tua isn't on the list....but Brodie Crooyle is.
Carson Palmer isn't on the list....but Mark Sanchez is.
There are 12 QB's on the list......none of who won a Heisman Trophy.
I could go on forever. I'd love to know where Joe Burrow was ranked. If they are going back 20 years, and he was #280 in his class, I'm guessing he's not in the top 5,000. Ranking kids on what they do in high school is ridiculoulsy overrated.

We give recruiting services a level of legitimacy and expertise they have not earned.
They do a decent job ranking the 5 stars, who are so good everyone can see it.
Beyond that, they may as well throw darts.

They need to change up their evaluation practices. For instance, factor in their level of maturity. I know that may be politically incorrect, but it would give them more accurate predictions.

They also just mimic major college offers and visits.

if they had an ounce of brains, they would do every thing they can to hide their past rankings bc they suck.

If they actually used player film and numbers they put up during highschool career, instead of amount of offers, and who they're from. A lot of college coaches just look at a guys size and measurables, and don't worry about his highschool production, figuring they can coach them up. Then when that guy ends up on the back of the roster, because he showed you who he was in highschool with his production there, it doesn't matter much to the coach he'll just get a new project next year, but the ranking is already screwed and published.

Other than Bama and Clemson how many Championships do those other schools listed have since 247 had been around? Not that many I think we are doing pretty good.

How long has 247 been around?
Three National Championships since 2003. Record setting team last season. Best team in history of NCAA.
I'll take twenty five good ones over a top fifty player.

What? That's impossible. The recruiting sites are perfect evaluators of talent and never fall prey to bias and personal agendas.

There are a lot of NFL bust on that top 50 list. Unbelievable. WOW.

This is based on their high school recruiting ratings.

Patrick Peterson - 0.9977
Anthony Johnson - 0.9973
Arik Gilbert - 0.9972
