She is 2020 but the addition won’t happen for another 2 years. She is coming off injuries and is still training.

It’s Sofia Diaz but we are at least a couple years away from this possibly happening and it’s not a sure thing. Really depends on how her injury recovery and training goes.
She has not competed in a while due to some injuries. There are no videos of her competing except on Flogymmastics which is premium content. She has been to the states for different camps which has afforded coaches oppertunities to see her in person.
LSU would be fine either way with Aleah, Tatum, Johnson, Lilly, and possibly Selena Harris. These aren’t the same quality elites as ones in the US or Canada. If she were to come it would be for like one or two event specialist.

Hmmm I just realized that Emma Kelley no longer has future LSU gymnast in her instagram bio...and she didn’t go for her official visit...is she still doing gymnastics /coming to LSU?

She was still training before but she has looked bad, maybe because she has trained for like 4 weeks in 3 years.
Can't say I'm surprised, I'm actually surprised this didn't happen sooner...
She visited Arkansas before so not surprised.

Seems like a pretty big get for Wieber though - even if Emma turns out to be limited in competing, the press they will give them because of MLR may be priceless

TigerBait - are you concerned at all that the mere presence of Jordyn Wieber can alter the landscape in the SEC - historically the talent at Arkansas isn't as deep...but, like you said, people love Wieber.
I don't hate Wieber and just felt so bad for her when she didn't make the all-around final in London, but I don't know that she has really done anything to prove that she can coach, other than supervise floor for former elites who have boatloads of talent regardless of any input from her - but I am sure she'll be the next Ms. Val.

Nope, I am not.
I am honestly shocked Weiber even got the job. The only thing she has at this time is a name everyone knows. She might be able to sneak in a really good recruit here and there but not enough to compete for a title at this time.
She has proven absolutely nothing as a coach. This will not be the same rodeo as UCLA. A top notch university with great facilities working with 12+ national team members/elites annually. Hell and they still underachieved at times. Not saying she can't be good but until proven otherwise, I have no reason to worried about that program at this time. If Jay went there, I would be a lot more worried.
Arkansas is a bit limited as a program for a few different reasons. They don't have the resources or facilities to compete with LSU/Florida/ Georgia/Alabama.

She may advance their program like has occurred at Kentucky which has been impressive, but difficult for Arkansas to get into the top three in the SEC.

She is going to Arkansas
For the best. She hasn't really trained in years, wouldn't break a lineup with out current recruiting classes. She at least will get a scholarship at Arkansas to cover all her school and up to the level of that program with a much better shot at contributing.
