I heard she was going to florida where her bf works for the Yankees and working for a co. that sells Leo’s. Good for her! I’m sad to see her leave but she has been with that man for years long distance. I’m sure they’re ready to settle down and actually live together.

ETA: her mom said she is going to work for gk elite. Great for her!

People are speculating based on the article that Bryce has stopped training since Ashley is mentioned as the only true senior

I’m going to get hammered for this but here goes:
I love Haleigh but I’m not sure I like this move. Does anyone remember bugs first 3 years coaching? She was not a great coach. Also at bugs went somewhere else (Pitt I think) before coming here. Time will tell, but honestly not excited about this hire.

ETA: she did 2 years as our student coach and then went to penn st as their asst coach.

Guidance will certainly be needed. Did you notice that Courtney is named as "Associate Head Coach"? Maybe there will be a new hire for floor or perhaps Courtney will help with both beam and floor. Let's hope it has been well thought out for the 2026 season and going forward.

I absolutely agree with you. I would’ve tried to poach Myia Hambrick from Utah if I was Jay and made her the new beam coach since she at least has multiple years of collegiate gymnastics coaching experience under her belt at a university that routinely scores higher than us on beam (though some of those are overscoring rotations, Carly knows what she’s doing and Myia has learned a lot from her) and made HB a volunteer assistant coach for a few years before hiring her as a full time assistant coach

Courtney is taking over beam fwiw

All the coaches contribute on floor but beam full time will be Courtney from what I was told

Will Courtney continue to choregraph the floor routines? Courtney was an outstanding beam worker during her Elite and College years.

I believe so. I think the plan is for Courtney to choreograph floor but run beam while they mold Haleigh. Believe Haleigh year one will be focused on recruiting and getting molded for future. Allegedly a lot of recruits are ecstatic she is on staff so we will see how that plays out in 27 class

Okay well all of that makes me feel better. I was thinking they were just going to hand over beam to her. It seems in today’s day and age that great college gymnasts either means they will make great tv commentators or college coaches and that is usually never the case. See Courtney kupets and Anastasia Webb. Glad they are easing her in.

Saw where Hezley has a pretty rough weekend. Hope she can make it here with her body and confidence still in tact.

I’m getting really bad vibes from Valeri, her confidence has been shot for a while. He hasn’t paced his gymnasts well for years

It sincerely may be worth hezly going to college and training for elite like Konnor did who regained love for the sport again and you saw it in her confidence.

Hezly has been the topic of conversation on several social media sites. She looks unhappy and nervous . She feels a lot of pressure from many angles. It is concerning for her future. I hope her parents can see this and will help her before she shuts down. Maybe she needs a gym change that would be better in building her confidence. Better yet, maybe she will consider coming to LSU next year and follow a path similar to Konnor.

Hats off to Jay and the Griffeths. They have done an awesome job with the portal! Looks like we basically got all we were after. Brinkman, Ulrich, Innes, Blackson. That should be quite a few lineup spots and a ton of depth for other lineups.

For SURE! I think it’s safe to say we’re really the only program that ACTUALLY made use of the transfer portal this post season. OU was asleep this summer lol

I know Valeri’s reputation. However, this, I think may have more to do with Hezly taking a small break post - Olympics that led to a big growth spurt. It’s clear that she is fatigued in her routines as she learns her skills in that body. However, that can be just as hard to overcome physically and mentally.
