Second if we win, we own the head to head over OU so I would assume that we would win outright in that scenario? Is that not the case here (and if not, why not? The only thing I can think of is because they want consistent rules when two tied teams don’t break the head to head with each other in a way to show a clear winner (eg more than one loss)).

Technically it should be ours outright assuming we win this weekend since their only loss is against us, however I’m not 100% certain on that, hence why I said we’d get at least a share of the title. (I’m thinking back to the 2022 season when Auburn and Florida tied in their final regular season meet)

Thanks for the responses - I think this is a response related to the championship meet as opposed to the regular season championship - which I agree would be decided by the meet

We won't know what the final location is until after SEC Championships. I think this Regional is the most ideal for us in all honesty. I think the SEC home scoring bias with Bama at our same regional will make Tuscaloosa difficult for any SEC Team, us especially. And I know that University Park is a notoriously difficult place to compete in as far as venue goes. I know Seattle is a trek for the team, but being a Seattle based LSU fan myself, I can confidently say that the arena at UW, the city itself (including the weather that time of year), and the scoring (based on how the 2022 regionals went) lend itself well to our girls.

The OU vs UGA meet stream just confirmed: If both us and OU win today, we win the title out right on the head to head tiebreaker.

The main event that Oklahoma out scored LSU on Friday was beam. Hopefully, Bugs can get the kinks corrected in the routines for our girls. Does anyone know what score Amari received on beam in the exhibition? She is a strong possibility for beam going forward IMO.

Im not worried about beam. Beam has been carrying us on meets other events let us down on.

Speaking of, what was wrong with Coen's beam? did she miss a connection or something? It didn't look like a 9.725 to me but I don't know the intricacies of BB and all of that so my untrained eye probably missed it.

There will be more judges at the SEC Championship which often yields lower scoring . Aleah has trouble with the dismount on beam being unbalanced or taking a step. Si needs reps on the double twist dismount on beam. Kylie, not sure what went wrong but I know the coaches inquired for sure. Chio will be fine just a fluke last night. These are the kinks that I am referring to that must be corrected to be competitive on beam next weekend.

She was given a 9.825

Chio, Bryant, Finnegan, and Konnor really should be mostly 9.9+ routines

Ballard and Coen are prob gonna be around the 9.825-9.875 range mostly depending on how strict judging is tbh and as long as we can break or be near a 49.500 on a event thats plenty good IMO

I agree. It will be a PLUS if beam is close to or is a 49.50 in post season.

There are some rumours on twitter and reddit about lsu not competing at SECs due to illness of many in the team. Is it any accurate?

No. The team is literally on route to the meet right now and if they weren’t going to compete, I doubt they’d even go when there’s a chance they could drop a spot in the national rankings after this weekend depending on the results of the meet

Aleah made aai final six. So did Jordan bowers, jade, Leanne, grace, and unfortunately Audrey Davis. Such a shame for Mya Louzan (sp), Amari Celestine, and Jocelyn Moore. Think it should be jade or Leanne’s to lose .

Any word on the 2026 class? Feels like the program is a machine right now. Would think they’d have more commits besides the Olympian

wow. Even with the fix in for Florida, they did it by being consistent throughout the meet.

I am really impressed and proud of the team. Even with that wacky bar rotation from Florida - LSU was the better team from top to bottom tonight and they remained cool and calm and fought until the end.
