Shocked but thrilled!!
Anyone have thoughts on the others who can take another year?
Not sure why that warrants a down vote, but whatever floats your boat!

Kiya, Alyona, Livvy, Chase, Sierra, Elena, Kai…. all could come back too.

I think it is highly improbably that Elena or Kai come back due to injury. I don’t think Livvy comes back given her earning potential elsewhere as well as her relationship with Skenes.
I think Alyona might come back given that she didn’t get to go out on her terms. I could also see Chase and Sierra (though Sierra might be out of degrees at this point). I wonder about Kiya, because that 1-2 punch with her and Haleigh again would be something.

She can be in grad school for any reason and retain eligibility if she takes the needed hours.

I want Kiya back, but I also want to see different girls in the #6 spot on floor.
Konnor or KJ. Amari even.
Kiya has had her turns to get her 10s, I want them to get their shot. They are never gonna get them in the Top 3 spots because of judges being stubborn.
KJ or Konnor in #6 fx spot will be 10 machines.

See I don’t think I want all the girls back. I’m not sure if jay would manage the rosters the way he would need to for the season after. If all the girls come back and the rosters and rotation lineup still look the same, when the 26 season comes around you will end up losing potentially 16 or more routines all at once with the little to no experience in the wings. I love the girls but I also think it’s time to see new girls compete.

I’m fine with Kiya and Haleigh back but I do think the freshmen are gonna take some spots. Kiya does not need to do AA anymore. I think Zoe and Chio can slide into bars day one for Sav/Kiya spots. Both have much higher scoring potential.
Lincoln will be way too good not to be in the floor lineup somewhere. Vault is an event I can see any freshmen making an impact day 1.
Unfortunately the freshmen will be limited year one in terms of overall amount of routines if they did come back but they would see a massive expanded role year 2 as LSU would lose the COVID seniors (last class) and Aleahs class, which between the two have a lot of routines.
But yes it’s going to be crowded as hell

Based on the deal Livvy just signed it sounds like to me she’s coming back. She’s quoted as saying she’ll “give fans an inside look at training and being a D1 athlete”.

It is quite likely Haleigh and Kiya reduce their routines in certain meets and save the wear on their bodies. Then come post season they have a couple of healthy hammers ready to turn it loose with a heavier workload.. Meanwhile the young ones get some valuable experience to prepare for 2026.

I mean no offense to Livvy but she’s not using a scholly by staying next year right? I mean if she’s signing multimillion dollar deals surely she can give her scholarship to someone else right? Alexis or someone?
Also I’m not that confident that jay wont try to overuse kiya and Haleigh next year. And I agree with an above poster that Aleah and kj should be 5 and 6 in the floor lineup.

If she did stay she would not be on a scholarship

she won’t be. And she won’t need to worry about $$

Do we know much about the bowling green transfer? Is she walking on or getting her masters. Is she a specialist or aa? I can go look at scores but we all bowling green scores are not sec scores so I’m curious how good she is.

Walk on, high quality transfer actually but likely won’t see lineups given how stacked we are. Came from a big lsu family growing up, she will get to experience a nice atmosphere her last year
She has a nice vault and floor routine

apparently she is a WCC girl, so that helps potentially strengthen the pipeline and keep people happy.

Can't help but smile while reading that article! It sounds like she is genuinely happy with her journey no matter the result. She has found a new joy in gymnastics at LSU and that's all I wanted for her!

Might could be a good leadoff for this season if steady.
