I know Tiger Nation woke up feeling the joy and satisfaction of our girls winning a well deserved Natty last night. The team was awesome. It was magical to say the least.
I found this article from Athens on the likely candidates that UGA will approach in the coming days. I bet you will laugh when you see who is first on the list.

Please let me dream for just a second.
Hypothetically, LSU can lose only 3 routines from the Finals if Kiya, Haleigh, and Sierra come back. Sav is out of eligibility. Kiya could do a 6th year (I.e. Peng Peng Lee, Lynnzee Brown) and Haleigh and Sierra could both do 5th years.
I know this is a long shot but let me dream.

Just saw the snap of Kiya trashing her grips and reality just set it. I’m in tears.

It’s sad but she left with a national title and stayed healthy her final year. Best way to go out!
Kiya clarified on her IG story that the grips were just long overdue to be thrown out since they were worn out and it was the end of the season so she could finally throw them out. There’s still hope for a Kiya sixth year!

Also….what’s up with these rumors of Jay leaving for UGA?
Posted on 4/22/24 at 1:24 pm to tlricks04
Pure UGA delusion.
They are doing us a favor because this is going to lead to Woodward giving Jay the biggest HC contract in college gym history (and it might also lead to the McCool-Griffiths staying because Jay would probably insist on big money to keep his staff together)

I was going to say - that can’t possibly be true. It would be dumb on both of their parts (UGA and & Jay, given the history)

Side note but I had no idea he got divorced! Sad for Jay and his family :/
one of the rumors circulating is he’d move to GA to be closer to family.

Gymcastic is promoting the speculation of Jay leaving LSU on Twitter. Jay seems so pleased with the team, fans, and BR that I find it difficult to believe that he is interested in leaving what he has worked hard to achieve to return to UGA where he was not treated well before coming to LSU.

I’m sure they have reached out to Jay and the assistants, but I don’t buy a single thing gymcastic puts out, they make up so much stuff no one takes them serious

I agree with everything you mentioned. I’ll also add that I think he has a great debt of gratitude to DD for giving him this opportunity, and I think he is too loyal to leave after only 4 years.

I think it would a completely different story if Jay had never coached Georgia. You can actually spin the "local boy comes home and makes good at his alma matter."
They have already played the alma matter card. They kicked dirt in his face on the way out. When he was in the gutter, DD and LSU picked him up, gave him a home, and have treated him right.
He knows this. He would never leave to go back there.

The UGA athletic department isn’t the same people as when he was there and then left. Would he still hold the same resentment for a different cast of characters especially when it’s also his alma mater?
Also I was surprised by how long he’s been coaching. Well over 30 years. One lucrative and even short-term contract could be just fine with him at this point if that’s really where he’d rather live and then retire.

I can't say resentful. Only he can speak on that.
All I know is he was chased out of Athens It wasn't just the AD, either. It was boosters too. The fans didn't accept him or think he was good enough to be the guy.
at the end of the day, you can never really return home. it is not 2006 anymore. UGA is praying someone views them as that gym blueblood. Jay is building a machine here and has every resource provided to him.
He will thank UGA for helping get him a hefty pay raise out of it, tho.
