You obviously do care about a recruit going somewhere else since you are on an LSU site trying to stir crap here. Go play with yourself somewhere else, please !

This is what I believe, and it's a huge advantage for us.
If we're close monetarily with these guys, most will pick us. Most of these recruits LOVE LSU, and it takes an overwhelming offer to pry them loose.
Think Colin Simmons who was allegedly on the phone CRYING with Frank Wilson because he wanted to play for us, but Texas just blew him away with their offer.
That was also when we had THAT fig in the AD's office who didn't want to pay a lot of these players big bucks. We have that problem corrected now.

To be fair Simmons has a disabled brother who he wanted to stay close by as long as possible

Not really. LSU is willing to pay top dollar now for the best recruits. Back when BK recruited Simmons Woodward would not let him bid what Texas was offering becuase it was “too much”.

Feel like we’ve seen this story before. Getting leveraged for more money

Tx techs biggest game this year is a Friday night game vs Houston. Wow. Lsu plays big game after big game on Saturday night, primetime, in huge stadiums. But go play in front of 50k on Saturday afternoons when no one is watching. Ok. If money is close, its a no brainer.

You rotate them. LSU’s practices are moving extremely fast bc that’s how the offense plays. A lot of SEC teams are starting to play really fast on offense. So the DL is a spot where you can actually pay to build quality depth…a lot of rotation to keep guys fresh will be happening
