I seem to remember him being committed to Miami before his senior year, then re-opening his recruitment and Miami not being a factor. It was mainly between us and UF.

We all owe Stevens a big thanks. In addition to declining Alabama's recruiting efforts, he did consume Nick Saban's time several Wednesday evenings when Saban would make those late afternoon/early evening phone calls to Stevens.

Might have been Jamauria Rausco's mother. She did not care too much for Bama and Saban. Ego Ferguson's Dad told an LSU insider that Saban was complete trash with no ethics. There are others who called BS on Bama coaches and caught them in lies and negative recruiting.
