Why do they call him "Baby Shaq"? Looks nothing like Shaq when he was that age. Shaq was/is a fricking tank. This dude has moves that Shaq didn't have. Only thing in common is their height, as far as I can tell.

I suggest you take a look back at Shaq's LSU photos. He was far from a tank. He was actually a sleek gazelle who could run the floor like a much smaller player.

shite, he lived a couple doors down from me one summer. Dude was always huge by normal standards. You may be thinking of Stan, but even he was a good bigger than the Baby Shaq.

I wouldn't exactly say he was a sleek gazelle but he was a much much thinner and in a way more raw player as a young freshman with some good legs. Roberts was more of the beefier type body and more skilled player at that time.

That's amazing we went from 0 scholarship players in March to a full compliment of 13 scholarship players by the end of the semesters. Some real talent too. Kudos to Coach Matt McMahon and staff for assembling this outstanding squad. Can't wait for next season now.

2023 DeShawn Harris-Smith is a 6’5” wing out of the basketball factory that is Paul VI High School outside of Washington, DC. Harris-Smith plays with Team Takeover on the Nike EYBL circuit during the spring/summer.
A 4-star recruit according to virtually all recruiting services, LSU extended an offer last summer. They are competing on the recruiting trail with the likes of Villanova, Texas Tech, Georgetown, St. John’s, Xavier, and Rutgers, amongst others.

We have 10 newcomers (4 from HS and 6 from the portal). Arkansas has 11 newcomers this year.
McMahon appears to be a good recruiter, not sure I would go elite. The class Wade had coming this year would have been elite.
Let's see how he does in a full recruiting cycle, but so far off to a good start.
