Coach McMahon
Just bc people on the board didn’t know a lot assumed he couldn’t recruit. The guy is known as an elite recruiter in college basketball circles

Miller just announced his top 2. LSU and TCU.
TCU makes me nervous.

Big news. Rothenstein tweeted out it's us and TCU for Adam Miller.
Gonna be tough to keep him but man that would be a massive hold.

Going to TCU is basically leaving physical, boring Big 10 style basketball to go play….boring Big 10 style basketball

Miller appears to be close with their guard Miles who is returning after declaring for the draft. Would not be suprised to see Lofton Jr., Miller, and Miles togother at TCU as all 3 were starters on that FIBA-19 team (the other 2 being Holmgren and Ivey)
It be a shame to never see him play for us, but I will be rooting for him wherever he goes. All credit in the world to Mcmahon for getting into his top 2.

Boy if we could sign a 5 star or two that would be awesome

At least this was an improvement all the other transfers have left for worse or equal situations

Need to add 5* SF Tyrell Ward to the commitments. Big get for CMM. Looks like we're going to be long and athletic as hell this year outside of PG.

Have actual depth at positions which is nice I can’t wait to see what the McMahon era turns out to be he seems to have hired an all star staff with Toppert Long and Hamilton (Who was key in getting ward and reed)
Also getting two Blue chip prospects in a short period gets me excited

Is Miller seeing the talent we are bringing in?I got 5 dollars ,Tigers are better than TCU next year.KJ come on down and we’re sweet sixteen (if we can go)

That could be a bit of a deterrent. LSU already has three backcourt transfers they are bringing in, along with Justice Williams returning. The transfers are all either juniors and seniors. I doubt they chose to go somewhere to potentially play LESS than they were playing at their prior school. Miller is arguably your starting SG should he remain at LSU. But what does that do for the chemistry of the other guards on the roster? At TCU the backcourt may be a little less crowded. I'd imagine a freshman starter on a great Illinois team is not looking to come off the bench anywhere. Particularly considering the missed all of last season.

He also watched Eason do it masterfully last year as well. If I were coming back from a serious knee injury. I'd like some help on the team so I wasn't forced to have to play 37-38 minutes a game. I think 25-30 minutes a game in a high profile conference like the SEC would be more appealing.
