Again, there was a huge drop-off after top 4 last year, there's zero arguing that. It also wasn't some super deep huge amount of continuity like you were trying to argue previously either. Loads of teams returned more than we did.

You start any team with that and a 8seed is a major disappointment

Again Michigan who bounced us had 5 seniors and a junior in their rotation throughout the year. We didn't even have a single senior on our team once Manning bolted.
You acting like we had some kind of super rare experienced team last year is laughable. We returned 5 players basically, yes 3 of them were very good, that doesn't mean the whole team was super deep and experienced compared to most others. It was very top heavy.

This is just plain stupid, there are better seniors in college who have no hope of the NBA than guys who go in the 1st round who really didn't do much in college by comparison.
You can't use pro talent and say seniors are all worse (while in college). I'll also adding Smart and Watford might have both left early but neither got drafted. They also got better as their time went on in college.
You are putting way too much on perceived talent and not nearly enough on true experience.
No, a team who returned 5 players from the previous years not some anomaly great experience other college teams never see. The 5th starter at end of year on our team last year transferred. It was a heavy top 4 then role players at best. The truly great teams go much deeper than relying on 4 guys. They can have others step up. We didn't have that luxury. When the time came we had to play some guys a full 40 minutes. We played Thomas 38+ minutes in 9 games, as a freshman. We played Smart 38+ minutes 8 times. When Michigan beat us they played their top guys 31-33 minutes giving them some legit rest.
