On one of the espn radio sports programs, the issue of getting waivers was briefly discussed. Once the player is cleared by the sports administrators at LSU, they will look into all of the details pertinent to the situation. They will look at all previous NCAA waivers that fit the players situation. A plan will be devised and used to best achieve the result desired with the NCAA. The COVID issue may also be another mitigating factor unusual to this year. Previous health issues could be used for both O'Neal and Penn-Johnson as well as each already using their red shirt year.

For some reason I thought O’Neal had already received NCAA approval.

I believe O'neal and LeBlanc will be available in December after the fall semester ends no matter what as they both transferred out of their former programs mid season.

Leblanc did that, not O'Neal. O'Neal didn't enroll till more recently.

Yeah that is right. I think I read something saying he was gonna enroll in March when the quarter was up at UCLA but idk how he could enroll at LSU in March since LSU doesn't use the quarter system.

LSU should have more clarity on the 2020 roster soon as the deadline for underclassmen to withdraw from the NBA draft is tomorrow.

If you want to enjoy any successful football or basketball in the coming years, you had best come to terms with the fact that most of the players are young black men who are increasingly "woke" and expect their coaches and teams to be "woke". I don't even know what "woke" really is, but I do recognize that recruiting will be profoundly and negatively impacted if LSU takes the stance you seem to be promoting.
This is a recruiting thread, so I would expect you to want LSU to be successful recruiting the best players regardless of race or political views.

Lol. Nah. There are things more important than sports. That attitude is what brings this shite about. The people trying to force an ideology on us and silence us will come around when the money stops flowing. Then, I can get back to enjoying sports without the propaganda.
