What I am saying is that LSU is still actively still recruiting him and that he may be the final member of the 2020 class.

The fact that Cisse May not even play D1 basketball would keep Anselem in the picture imo. I’m just not sure if that relationship is soured or not

Wade intimated he wanted a big man recently

Brown was a pretty big recruit (#36 overall) and was the third leading scorer and 2nd leadings rebounder for Wake last season. He would be a great pickup, but unexpected one since LSU has three guys they seem to really like at his position 2/3 (Manning, Days, Thomas)

Brown is intriguing. You’re right, we aren’t lacking for wings right now, but he is such a physical, strong dude. I have no clue how our roster will finish out, but I am 100% confident we will be ready to eat.

Wade does want to play a more active full court "mayhem" type defense this year. Perhaps being able to expand the minutes to 9 or so strong would allow players to remain fresh and active.
As Wade has said numerous times, he can count to 13. He also is in constant contact with his players and has some feel for who will return and who will leave early. He is always trying to improve each position.

I guess if you got Brown, you could go small ball with Smart, Thomas, Manning, Days, Watford with Brown as the first wing off the bench but then you have the rebounding issue from last year.
If we miss on Cisse, you're almost gonna have to go that route with the inexperience down low

We were second in conference in rebounding.

Yeah, I guess I meant more of a height thing since I wasn't looking at the stats. I didn't realize Mays averaged 5 a game, and Taylor even got us 4. It was more a team rebounding effort.
In that case, I could see Brown being a fit. Manning takes over at SF and Brown slides into the first wing off the bench.
I'd still rather Cisse but Brown would certainly help out.

There would be benefits either way, but I agree with you. Cisse is a unicorn.

#Havoc was a thing when he was at VCU.

If I'm not mistaken, he called it "mayhem" on a recent interview. That is why I used this term.
He also mentioned that he would do a good bit of half court match up zone coming out of the full court mayhem.

Our offensive rebounding ability inflates the perception of being a strong rebounding team.
We were a good offensive rebounding team due to our tenanious attack of the rim with multiple guys. On the defensive end we were 197th in allowing offensive rebounds which is not good.
This team is missing a big that can rebound and protect the rim. You need to be able to match up with multiple style of teams in order to advance far in the NCAA tourney.
The way our team is currently constructed we would struggle against teams with a physically imposing big (similar to Azibuke). Cisse would fill that gap for our team.
Fortunately for us there are few big men like that in CBB so we will still be a very good team regardless if we land Cisse or not. Landing him would put us over the top.

VCU trademarked "HAVOC" in 2012. Shaka tried to take it to Texas with him actually, but UT revoked their trademark applications once they realized that it would be more trouble than it was worth legally.
I assume mayhem is just the next iteration.

Correct, the we have been an elite offensive rebounding team but a horrible defensive rebounding team.
