What??
I hope so, but we’d have to cut the rest of remaining team to bring in like 8 freshmen!

Very realistic shot at getting Anselem, Kuminga, and Cisse for 2020

Yeah no way, maybe 10% chance we get 2 of those 3

247 and rivals writers think we have the best shot at Cisse and Anselem has been ours to lose for a while. Not sure if landing one would impact the other, but from what they say we have a very real shot at landing 2/3. I don’t think anyone has a clue on Kuminga tho

If we added Gaines, Cisse and Anselem, it would be insane to go from basically a seven-man rotation (eight if you want to count Hyatt) to having 13 guys on scholarship that could all see playing time

PG: Smart/Cook/Gaines
SG: Thomas/Manning
SF: Wilkinson/Days/LeBlanc
PF: Watford/Cisse
C: Anselem/Ezewiro

That's 12 right there before adding in O'Neal (possible waiver)

That’s a final four roster, and the most talented LSU team since early 90s

Sorry for nit-picking this, but O'Neal is more likely to be eligible at the start of the season than Leblanc. That being said, when Leblanc steps on the court he will be starting alongside Watford. He is that good defensively. Anselem and Ezewiro will be the guys pulling lighter workloads, which makes sense considering their age and experience. Those guys have very high ceilings, but there will be a transition.

The overall point of your post is spot-on, though. We're going to be friggin loaded. I still am doubtful that both of the juniors reclassify - not from knowing anything specifically, just from following recruiting in the past. There's alot that has to be done from the standoint of both the kid as well as the high school, and often times with these guys things fall through the cracks.

Hyatt may also be a purge possibility after that IMO.

Hyatt is not getting purged.

Young man is good, hope we get him and highlights aren’t against scrubs either. He is very fluid, can pass and shoot, drives well and has hops, he will move up, plus who cares about ranking kid can BALL!

Realistically I think we can count on Gaines and Anselem as locks to being in the class. Which means three spots need to free up. Williams and Cooper will be the first two and a toss up with Bishop/Hyatt. My first guess would be Hyatt, because Bishop has better upside, and we have less depth at that position. Leblanc won't be eligible until Dec and as of now O'Neal will sit the year out. Cisse and Kuminga are definite takes if they want in and WW will make the numbers work. But because they are not locks I leave them out of this take.

So 2020-2021 I would guess most likely looks like this

Javonte Smart / Eric Gaines / Jalen Cook
Cameron Thomas / James Bishop
Charles Manning / Mwani Wilkinson
Trendon Watford / Josh Leblanc / Shareef O'Neal
Darius Days / Frank Anselem / Bradley Ezewiro

Leblanc and Anselem add fantastic length and defensive presence in the paint, and Gaines Thomas really give us scoring depth in the backcourt. Scoring off the bench is killing us this year.

Not saying you're wrong, but is there some information to back up the statement that they are "locks"? Or is this just you're opinion?

LSU has been the first major program to push for Gaines, and multiple CB picks have come in for him. Not to mention he is a major need, and will probably play right away.

Frank is a guy we have been on for 2 years and the pay site insiders have hinted with a wink and a nod that he is a silent. Probably because he is reclassifying and sometimes that doesn't always work out right away

Yea, that’s the one thing about taking 2 guys who could reclassify. That last year of development could be crucial, so it might take some time for them to catch up to the college game.

Going to be tough to keep Watford from jumping to NBA after a year.

Eric Gaines is OVing next weekend per 247. Think it’s safe to say we’re sitting pretty here.

Why are so many in this thread writing off Hyatt over Bishop? Wade praised Hyatt all off-season and at media days. He's also playing good minutes, has a great frame, and is showing promise. he seems pretty safe right now, unless the right guys want on board.

I'm still flipping out over Unlucky saying we're in a good spot with Cisse and Kuminga. I'd faint if we landed both

Sounds like Gaines and Anselem are in. Even one of Cisse and Kuminga and I'd freak. Both brethers and I would fall off the golden airboat in ecstasy

People are writing off those two Bc they want to land the guys you named and processing them is the only way to fit the class
