Weinstein decommitted and is going to UCLA now
He will be able to get on the field sooner there. He will be a DES and wants to maximize his time on the field before going pro in two years. Understandable.
ETA: he was the player to be named later in the Gage Jump trade.

Luke Tucker just posted his LSU locker on his IG story so I guess that means he’ll be a tiger next season

I like his profile. He can really swing it.

i thnk hes gonna be one of the 15 guys i think that hits a homer this season

He should set his sights on 3B as a LH bat to go with Park and Pearson. Big kid with plenty of juice but I don't think he'll play SS here. Reminds me of Deichmann's profile.

i agree i dont see him as a SS either
i think hes a 3b like you said

Martinez is the SS projection in this class, in my opinion, especially with Weinstein out. Then we have several kids coming the following year that project at SS - one of them played against Team Louisiana today on ESPNU in Omaha and he'll play again tonight in the ship. That Florida team is worth a watch, they have shown some good arms and overall ballplayers with not a ton committed yet. They play Kansas, who beat Arizona and Arizona has a laundry list of D1 commits. Louisiana did pretty well with the roster they had.

Are we going after Jackson Dugan
I know he’s on the Louisiana roster

Project had mentioned that we were on him. I've seen him play a good bit in person. Nothing really jumps, but he's pretty good at everything. Koa is good at everything, for example, but Koa has some tools that really jump. Koa's bat is loud, he's athletic for his build, and the arm is electric. I think Dufrene is a nice prospect on that roster, personally. I expect him to really break out sooner rather than later. He needs to add a few pounds but he's in the right program to do so.

Dufrene is 2028, and may end up 1 or 2 in the state. Good kid, good family like Koa. I expect us to be on him hard.

Martinez posted on his IG story his locker same as Beaty and Tucker
I tried to look at some of the other commits but those were the only 3 I could find
ETA:Loew, Brady, and Davis both posted their lockers as well

Tucker will make it to campus permanently but plenty of kids have moved into school and signed pro a week later.

As we approach the draft and Logan Schmidt's number being approximately $5mil does anyone have any info on how likely he gets it? Everything I found said the question is if he will come off of it. But doesn't say how likely he gets that number.

I don't think it is likely he gets that 5 mil. Question is what happens when 3-3.5 is thrown in your face. He is the 8th LHP when you look at MLB.com prospect rankings. Only 3 of those are college guys and the other 4 in front of him in rankings are HS. The other HS LHP are ranked 24 or above and Schmidt is ranked 45.
I know all it takes is one team to like him more than others but also have to consider other team needs may not be LHP plus they may go with college or another HS arm. I just don't see how he gets 5mil.
More likely to have a scenario like Briggs McKenzie where he may end up falling a little then a team has savings figured out and throws him 3 mil in the 4th round.
