Yeah I had to double check when I saw it too, but it’s right.

The Milwaukee Brewers are calling up right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, one of the best pitching prospects in baseball, sources tell ESPN. Misiorowski, ranked 30th among all prospects by
@kileymcd. has a fastball that’s been up to 103 mph this year. He’s expected to start Thursday.

I get that the '23 team won it all, but we were so close to have the best team in college baseball history, also:

- Justin Crawford is hitting .349 in AAA
- Snelling dominated in '23, and is doing alright in AA this year with a 4.14 ERA and 1.240 WHIP. 60K in 50 IP.
- Michael Kennedy pitching well in High A., and has pitched well at the low levels for years now.
- Mikey Romero has a .792 OPS in AA

Tucker Toman is the only big name from that class struggling, and he's slowly getting better (kinda) in A ball. Still only 21.

Is LSU on this kid at all? Seems like some pretty decent numbers.

Yeah, but I still would have liked a low slot guy in our stable.

I still can't believe he had 80 innings out of the bullpen this year. I think he's a really good get for them.

They had bullpen issues all year that their bats covered up early in the season. They're going to push hard for pitchers in the portal. They have a couple high end arms committed that may not make it through the draft (Estrada from MIT, Barr from Niagara CC). So they'll keep pushing for guys. They're going to have a mass exodus in the portal too because they've carried so many guys off the roster for the last few years.

Ethan Conrad from Wake Forest entered the portal. He is ranked 28th on MLB's prospect rankings, so it's entirely just a draft backup plan. Weird, but maybe it's not notable anymore as I am guessing that sort of move will become more common.

I wonder how Jay gauges a player's interest for the more fringe draft guys though, that Creighton pitcher from a couple of years ago, for instance, seemed like he was going pro no matter what and we were just leverage.

Yeah, I think there were a couple guys going into the 2023 season that committed from the portal but signed MLB deals. The Creighton pitcher, and a SS I think from Vandy and maybe 1 more.

Well shite.

It definitely seems CJJ is being very selective.

As he should be. The foundation is there with the returning players.

The numbers for Tiroly are incredible particularly for MI. Competition looks meh however.

Duke also had a LHP enter who had 91 K in 65 IP. I’m sure he’d be a big time add but I assume all of these guys are going to end up at UVA.
