How can we ever build a clubhouse culture if there are no upper classmen on the team who are program guys?? Costello had to have been told to look elsewhere because he had the chance to start at 1st next year

Maybe I'm just out of the loop, but a quick look at the roster shows a number of guys who will presumably return for 2026 who would be classified as "program guys" or "homegrown players" as key contributors from 2024 and 2025.

Just listing alphabetically:
Arrambide
Brown
Curiel
Evans
Guidry
Milam
Primeaux
Rizy
Schmidt
Williams

Milam, Brown and Guidry clearly being the upperclassmen from that list. Curiel and Evans might as well be classified as upperclassmen and real team leaders with what they've done already and being certain pro prospects. Arrambide, Schmidt, Rizy and Williams all with nice experience as freshmen this spring.

Skimming some of the comments it seems like some are glossing over the fact that there have been a number of true freshmen who have earned playing time this season. Shouldn't lose sight of that just because a couple other freshmen have hit the portal.

I see Cano from Little Rock is a Jr. in eligibility. I would think he lands in the portal by the end of the week or is going to get drafted high enough to go that route?

What do you think, Project?

The minors are littered with Canos so likely not getting drafted until the late rounds if at all.

Lateral move at best in portal. Not sure any P5s take a flyer on a midweek pinch hitter particularly with smaller rosters.

The hyperventilation for this kid is hilarious.

He basically doubled his HR and RBI season totals in three regional games. That's an awesome regional, but that's pretty terrible season.

Yeah his numbers are very meh in a very bad conference. He's basically been good for his last 12 at bats, and that's it.

He's one of a handful of D1 starters I've been tracking for a while this season. Trey Beard, Colter McAnally, and Max Bayles being the others.

Listening to a draft podcast (Future Projection by Baseball America) and they mentioned Landon Hodge is getting second round mentions by scouts. They went on to talk about our prep class for a little bit after that too.

Trailing 11-3 in the 8th inning, Cam Johnson entered the game for Oklahoma and walked 3-straight batters, recording 12 balls and just 2 strikes in 14 pitches. That is all.

Cam Johnson just made an appearance for Oklahoma against UNC. It was much of the same form him. Still struggling to find the zone. Walked the bases loaded on 14 pitches

Didn't know whether to bring this to this thread or not. The videos of him chewing out the CCA groundskeeper are so funny. Sully is losing his mind and getting in the guys face and the guy is just sanding there, perfectly still, totally unbothered.
