Ryan Fuller from PA matches that description as does about 20 million.

But Ryan Fuller was recently followed by SImpson within the last day or so

2026 27th overall PA prospect 10th RHP in PA per Perfect Game.

As does Koa Romero an uncommitted 2027 guy from Hahnville who was recently followed by CJJ. 11th in LA, 2nd ranked 3B

I wonder if Masa Chilcutt is one of them. He’s a 2024.

ETA: he’s a 2025 I was wrong

I think he was mentioned yesterday as someone that may enter. We aren't connected and I doubt we will be but...

From FSS:
quote:

A prodigious contact hitter, Kepley boasts elite bat-to-ball skills in just about every scenario. Whether it be in-zone, out-of-zone, high velocity or big spin breaking balls, Kepley dwarfs his peers with regards to the ability to put bat to ball. Kepley is a plus runner who figures to steal some bags at the next level and should roam left field at a high level. There's not a ton of raw power to speak of coming out of the 5-foot-8-inch frame, but Kepley will make his money at the next level as a fourth outfielder or table-setter. The ceiling might not be tremendously high here, but the floor is awfully generous.

No. I would imagine we are set at OF and will not be serious players for him.

ETA: Unless Stanfield goes in the draft.

Does anyone know the signing deadline for those drafted? I searched with no luck.

I think it's early August, like 2 weeks after the draft or something. It's a much shorter window than it used to be.

MLB.com came out with their latest mock draft yesterday going into the final days before the draft.

Konnor Griffin: 1.11 (Tigers)
Cam Caminiti: 1.13 (Giants)
Tommy White: 1.27 (Phillies)
William Schmidt: 1.36 (Guardians)

William Schmidt in the last 3 weeks of mock drafts has been linked with the Dodgers at 23rd overall pick. This latest mock says the Dodgers seem to be shifting their focus to HS SS now. This dropped William Schmidt down to the 36 overall pick with the Guardians. Note that the Guardians are trying to take a 1 overall pick that will not take the full slot value so this would free up money for them to get to Schmidt's number. That slot value is at 2.5 mil so if Schmidt wants 3 mil or just north of that then the Guardians will likely be able to get to that with savings from the 1 overall pick.

That kind of felt inevitable when he hit the portal.

I used that number because that is the number that has been rumored around here. My point was that Cleveland will be able to match whatever he is asking for because they plan to pick someone who will not want the full 10+ mil of the first overall pick.

Now that Mendes is off the board. Here is a concise list of the LHP that we are connected to:

Cade Fisher, LHP, Florida, SO #1
7.13, 59.1 IP, 67H, 29BB, 76K, 1.618 WHIP
- Does not feel like LSU is in the hunt here

Steven Cash, LHP, Louisiana Lafayette, SO, #624
3.79, 19 IP, 13H, 13BB, 21K, 1.368 WHIP
- From Alabama
- Bread crumbs do not really lead anywhere that I can tell

Chase Hoover, LHP, TCU, SO, #725
9.74, 20.1 IP, 27H, 13BB, 31K, 1.967 WHIP
- LSU no longer even following him

Matt Gaither, LHP, UNCW, SR, #1781
21.00, 3 IP, 9H, 4BB, 3K, 4.33 WHIP (2024)
- Cajun Baseball??? in his Twitter feed and Instagram
- I think he has either silently committed or portals don't have him updated

Gerald Hanson, LHP, Cal State Northridge, SO, #2604
4.50, 8 IP, 9H, 4BB, 10K, 1.625 WHIP
- From Cali
- Nothing jumps off the page here

Adam Hachman, LHP, Arkansas, FR, #2910
Redshirted as a freshman
- Would be ideal candidate, but haven't heard anything about him
- Texas and LSU are in on him, but not sure to what degree

Sid Polston, LHP, Campbell, JR, #4182
Medically redshirted in ‘24
- Cali Kid
- Texas, LSU, USCe appear to be in on him
