I just dont think eyanson comes here without a clear path to start. Its pretty murky with herring being guaranteed a starting spot and shores and cowan and sheerin.
But it would be a great problem from our end. I get it from lsu’s side

Also, you can’t think about just weekends. Think about SEC tourney, Regionals, Supers, CWS. You need 6-7 guys that can start. Shores and Noot are coming off TJ. Revision TJs happen more frequently these days. Can never have enough pitching.

There is no such thing as too much starting pitching. Still waiting for 3 consistent weekend starters much less a 4th.

What’s our 2025 projected line up
Posted on 7/10/24 at 10:31 pm to josh336
They return 9 starts from last year and all 9 are from Kade Anderson. I don’t think anyone has a clear path to start. It’s wide open

I don’t think Sheerin is a lock to start. I see him as a piggyback to Cowan. Or now maybe Eyanson.

How many left handed bats do we have?
Milam (switch)
Pearson
Brown
Larson
Beck
It seems we might be right handed heavy.
What about Priester and the Juco commits?

And that’s not included the transfers/Freshman. STACKED!!

I feel like Jay’s dream would be to have 3 starters and 3 finishers.
and pitch 6 total guys on the weekends
of course in his dream more of them are lefties

Sheerin could come out of pen. Same with Shores even. Or any of these guys, really. I do prefer Anderson as a starter but that’s about it

Schmidt, Harden and Reaves are all LHH

Hardin, Schmidt, and Reaves are LH.
Then you have Costello and Curiel as incoming freshman.

Starting to feel like we may need Anderson out of the pen as a LHP.

They got too LH heavy on the mound & lineup
RH are welcomed

Do you think Jay stepped in and made Yeskie change that up? If I remember correctly, A&M was a heavy left handed team his last year there.

I don’t think they are doing it on purpose. It is just what has become available to them in my estimation. Jay loves lefties cause Augie Garrido whispered something to him 25yrs ago about never having too many lefties. So I don’t think it’s that

Piggyback Cowan/Mayers, Anderson/Shores, and Noot/Eyanson with everyone else in relief as needed.
And if Herring and/or Hayden make it to campus, you have one of the deepest staffs in the country.

I think Sheerin is ahead of Mayers and Noot as of now

Noot has a long ways to go to be considered In any plans
