They had to add arms with all they were losing in draft & portal. Nothing to do with herring

I know, but thats alot of potential starters, herring, cowan, eyanson, shores, anderson, sheerin. Obviously we are pretty well stacked if we keep them all

We thought that last offseason too with the pitching staff and we saw how that ended up. Dutton starting on Sunday at the end of sec play. Never have enough pitchers.

Not sure the plan was anything but get the most talented guys with the best stuff available
I thought they were loaded going into last year and they couldn’t find a Sunday guy all year. It’s just hard to make a plan right now. Get the guys here and see who wins jobs
Promise Herring a shot to start, if he is as good as last year, it’s justified. If not. Move him back to pen

Eddie Yamin has been playing for the Saugerties Stallions in the PGCBL for the last few weeks. He hit a home run tonight, but more interesting than that is that he’s been catching like every other game.
I’m starting to think it’s not a given that we add another catcher.
ETA: WJP beat me to it, ha

Oh im sure if herring is back, he is getting the thatcher treatment, although im positive he would execute it better

6 guys for 3 spots, but injuries happen (because pitchers) and none of them are surefire SEC weekend starters. We certainly hope it turns into a good problem to have, but it's unlikely they all work out.
And even though only 3 can start on the weekend, 1 or more could step into Herring's old role and be a finisher.

Don’t forget about midweek starts. Those are important too. Hate losing to bullshite teams on a Tuesday.
