That probably closes the door on a Max Kaufer return. Not sure how involved we are with him, if at all.
Kaufer going to USCe

Kendall hinting at both Liam Doyle and Andrew Fischer from Ole Miss heading to Tennessee.

Henseler expected to stay at Aggie

How in the hell is 8&4 going to get all of these guys on the field?

Yeah I don’t understand what they are selling. They also think Camarillo has a better shot to come to school than sign (could be wrong of course).
This at least opens the door for the two Washington kids that hit the portal.

Looks like Henseler is solid to the Aggies

At this point, wonder if the plan is just eschew defense entirely and play some of the 1B/DH dudes at 3B and SS lol

I think people are focusing entirely too much on portal additions when discussing potential lineups. We aren’t going to bring in a guy from a lower level who hasn’t played the left side of the infield and ask him to do that. After all these departures in the portal this year, I think you see heavy playing time for guys like Hogg, Ryan, Fountain obviously if they make it. Reaves is also better than most portal infield options at the plate but we’ll see what happens in the field. But we’re obviously still going to add based on sheer numbers

We are getting torched in these head to heads, this is brutal

A&M folks saying he will be their starting 2B…

Which is why I don’t see why a player like Kucharek would enter the portal. He’d have every opportunity to earn a spot next year.

Because a guy stuck to his commitment?

Commitment of over a year as well.

I agree with you but if he goes back out west and sees an easier path to playing time, how can you really blame him in this day and age. And that’s why I mentioned I think we’ll see more of those freshmen play early and often next year. Kucherak only played in a handful of games and only remember him starting once, y’all can correct me if wrong. And I don’t blame jay for that, he obviously wasn’t ready. But I think we could see his mindset change to try and retain these recruiting classes as best he can.

Things must have changed regarding Camarillo then becuase the only way that makes sense is if Kent is getting to play SS. They said he wanted to play there and no way he’s coming back to Ags if Camarillo doesn’t sign and Henseley plays 2B.

We couldnt convince a kid who wasnt even a part of that program, that lost its staff, and didnt have his position available to play when we did, to choose us

I mean, it's hard to expect multiple true freshmen to be immediate starters. And those who can could go pro instead so the only players we can reasonably count on at the moment are those on the roster and the (non-draft eligible) transfers.
