I see what you’re saying, but if you are gonna come with stats you better have the right ones. Daniel is a great kid and even better player. I see people saying recruit Larson back but I don’t see him wanting to come back to compete with harden/reaves. Hardens bat is for sure better than Larson. Reaves is probably on par. Can’t lie don’t know how the defense compares but can’t imagine drastic difference.
I thought those kind of comments were going to stay on the rant, shame on me for that.
That isn’t the first person to float that out there. Doyle said a few weeks back that everything he’s heard leads him to believe ryan won’t make it to campus
The kid looked young and was wearing USA baseball shirt, so that didn’t really narrow things down.
Jordan and Yeskie at torchys with a recruit. Looks like a high school guy if I had to guess. Sadly I’m not as good as WPJ at this
At least he’s having Joe Doyle on the show today
I agree, but I expect jay to at least try rather than trying to plug a guy like yamin for example at 3rd. Larson, Milam, and brown were pleasant surprises last year. Obviously they have to perform to stick in the lineup
I agree with you but if he goes back out west and sees an easier path to playing time, how can you really blame him in this day and age. And that’s why I mentioned I think we’ll see more of those freshmen play early and often next year. Kucherak only played in a handful of games and only remember him starting once, y’all can correct me if wrong. And I don’t blame jay for that, he obviously wasn’t ready. But I think we could see his mindset change to try and retain these recruiting classes as best he can.
I think people are focusing entirely too much on portal additions when discussing potential lineups. We aren’t going to bring in a guy from a lower level who hasn’t played the left side of the infield and ask him to do that. After all these departures in the portal this year, I think you see heavy playing time for guys like Hogg, Ryan, Fountain obviously if they make it. Reaves is also better than most portal infield options at the plate but we’ll see what happens in the field. But we’re obviously still going to add based on sheer numbers

bounce back season

He would have had LSU’s 4th highest batting average in conference play last year behind Larson, Tommy, and Braswell. Bounce back from what?
He’s listed as the #131 prospect on PG which is well ahead of Herring and Jones. Intriguing prospect for sure and another draft sweat.
He posted on instagram exactly at 2. Source didn’t miss
Is Reaves perceived as a draft risk? I really think he could hit at the top of our order next year plug him at whatever position you need
Conner Ware listed on the combine list as well
People hyped up the Camden Wicker guy that was incredibly average in the SoCon but don’t want to take a swing at Mayers and his upside… crazy. Now I’m skeptical mayers would even want to come here knowing if he can’t find his command than he’ll not be throwing many innings similar to cam
We could very well be on Wicker but that is also a real possibility. Moscona was reading a list of what his “source” told him were the top 5 players in the portal on yesterdays show and said a guy named Costello from ECU. Looked on d1 and had a 13 era. He obviously meant Root but he could have easily just said the wrong name and everyone took it and ran.
If the NC state coach retires after this year, any guys worth taking a look at?
Forgot to send this in here last night cause got caught up in the game but noticed Schmidt in one of the shots they showed of the LSU crowd. Obviously doesn’t mean he’s coming to school but just worth noting. I said in the past on here that I heard he had no interest in coming to school but hoping things have changed

Louisiana 6’7 Junior Joe Charles Jr plans to enter the transfer portal a source tells @madehoops Averaged 11.3 PPG, 9.8 RPG, 1.1 APG. 44/34/78 splits with 1.1 BPG and 1.8 SPG Solid athlete with great length, perimeter defensive abilities and plays with a very high motor @iamjoecharles1

Based on McMahon‘s Louisiana strategy in the portal last year, would expect him to take a good look at this one
