I know we’ve lost a lot, but it sounds like our pitching staff is going to be a good mix of veteran portal talent and high potential recruits. Sets up well for the future and the present.

I doubt jay is done adding pitchers. Definitely not done with Lefties.

And guys like Root and Fisher are still out there.

Definitely not done with lefties. I doubt we go into next year with only 3-4 of them (Herring, Anderson, Primeaux, Ware).

Like this kid a lot, not sure where he plays if he comes here, played 2B all year at Utah Valley I think with SOME 3B, but maybe Milam moves to short or this guy can play 3B, or maybe just DH, who knows. He's a bat you want in the lineup though.

He's that super rare combination of speed, power, contact, etc etc.

Dickinson played 19 games at 3B over the last 2 years, 11 games at SS and 87 games at 2B. To date in the Cape he has played all 5 games at 2B.

I think adding him for the bat and figuring out where everyone falls is what to do.

From prospectslive.com

quote:

23. INF DANIEL DICKINSON, UTAH VALLEY (IN PORTAL)

HEIGHT: 6’0
WEIGHT: 180
B/T: R/R
HOMETOWN: RICHLAND, WA
Hailing from Utah Valley, Dickinson has quietly been one of the best hitters in college baseball the past two years. Dickinson has grown into his body more on campus and has *elite* contact skills from the right side of the plate. There's some twitch in his profile and very quick hands, staying direct to the baseball and lacing the ball to all fields. He likes to hammer the gaps and utilize his speed on the bases, though he's tapped more into his power and projects as fringe-average to his pull-side. While he does chase a bit more than you'd like, Dickinson's plate coverage is otherworldly and he handles everything well, including higher-end velocity when he comes across it. As an infielder, Dickinson projects more as a second baseman. He has good range and footwork, though the arm strength isn't the greatest and likely hampers his ability to stick at shortstop.

This Tanner Reaves kid looks impressive. Couldn’t he be another infield option?
