Christian little in the top 150, Blake Money and Edwards (who is a career reliever recovering from TJ) ranked over Steven Millam? That’s pretty crazy. Unless he is factoring in sign-ability, then at that point I’d wonder why Jake Brown is ranked so high.
He’s also higher than anyone on Taylor, who’s going to be a huge risk coming off TJ after really only proving himself in the Cape League. I doubt he would be a top 2 round prospect.

I’m going to go ahead and say this guy is clueless. Millam being ranked 100 spots behind Edwards is pretty wild.
Is it though? He is tiny, doesn’t have elite speed, projects as a 2nd baseman gap to gap hitter that’s almost 19.

Two new names to monitor
Gamecocks INF Michael Braswell
Hit .255 with 1 HR and 23 RBIs
Sacred Heart Infielder Sam Mongelli
Hit .402 with 20 HRs and 54 RBIs
NEC player of the year as well

Little in the top 150 is a stretch but I can totally see him getting drafted off of pure stuff. He just hasn't been accurate and big league teams know they can or think they can fix that kind of thing. He's big in the amateur space so my guess is sign-ability is absolutely being factored into the rankings. It's not going to be totally accurate. At the end of the day it's still a guessing game but he's definitely not a nobody when it comes to this stuff.

I'd have to think Mongelli is a threat to sign pro, but he's a shortstop who would be a grad transfer.

Mississippi St is close to hiring Nicholls HC Mike Silva as their pitching coach. I assume Mayers will be heading to portal and have State and LSU right there waiting for him.

I had heard they were heavy on Jason Jackson. Maybe that means we'll be in on Jackson. Unless Bama strikes out on Rob Vaughn and gives Jackson the job.

interesting
I figured he was a year away from getting a bigger head coaching job, but if he goes to State and fixes their pitching problems, he'd be in line for a power program job.

It's certainly a risk given Lemonis could be out of a job midway through the season next year.
I think we'll be on Jason Jackson and Nate Yeskie for pitching coach.

Josh Stevenson is in the portal. An expected move. My bad didn't see your thread on the other page Project.

This isn't someone we have confirmed interest in yet but I would be surprised if we don't. Freshman starter Andrew Fisher from Duke
.289 11 homers 33 RBIs .400 OBP
He does play third so that may be an issue but I assume he was recruited to Duke by Josh Jordan.

Meh, all roster stuff gets posted here.

Any idea if he can play short? Duke had Mooney to play short stop for them.

I posted last night that Moscona reported that it’s Yeskie. Consider the source, of course.
He said Woodard from Charlotte was/is in the mix and Muscara from Wake, but the thinking is that he’s head coach in waiting
Fwiw

His PG profile had him listed as 3B/MIF so I'm sure it's a possibility. Never really seen him play though.

Jordan is connected to Fischer, obviously. Doesn't tell us about current interest though. A ton more interesting names have hit the portal today.
Victor Quinn from Oregon State is a kid that can touch 98 or so, but struggles to find the zone at times. I have to think Mizzou will be in play for him since he's from not far away.
The Pac 12 overall is about to collapse it seems. Washington State just lost their coach to Wichita State. That's brutal.

Totally agree. This portal season will be more wild than last year. Lots of interesting names will continue to pop up.

That freshman from Oregon State, Turley, would be an interesting target if he hit the portal. He's from Arizona, so I bet Jay has some connections there. He turned down a ton of money to go to Oregon State, so he may not even be considering a move, but he'd start anywhere in the country.
