Whoa! Montgomery may be the top 5 tool player in country and has a ton of untapped potential on the mound as well. Hits bombs too.

I hope this Ski kid from Princeton is really good. I say this because over the years some of these Ivy League teams have guys that just frustrate the hell out of other teams.
They hit their spots hardly walk anyone and all you can do with them through 7 innings is ground out or pop-up hits.

if we get land him and our pitchers get healthy this off-season, LSU is going to be filthy on the mound. We'll be much deeper at least even with Skenes and Floyd leaving

I’m not sure he would come here to pitch. Only 10 IP this year. Seems like (without knowing for a fact at all) he’s focusing on being an OF. Which would be fine bc we need to replace those next year.

Definitely has the potential for a 2 way player but seems he has control issues on the mound. 30BB in 29.1 IP is less than desired. You do like the potential with 42K in the 29.1 IP. Will be interesting to follow this story in the next couple months.

Freshman pitcher from Nicholls that was talked about a few pages back had another good outing in the Southland Conference tournament against Lamar yesterday. He went 7.1 IP with 0ER. 5K/2BB I think 6 hits if I remember right. Will be interesting to watch and see if he ends up in the portal. Definitely seems to have SEC potential.

Can’t imagine him staying at Nicholls. He played his way into being able to pick whatever school he wants in the country.

I agree. I have heard he enjoys coach Silva and being at Nicholls, but at some point he will have to go somewhere else if he has MLB aspirations. Not to mention NIL opportunity.

Correct, being from St Amant you would think he likely grew up an LSU fan.
