I noticed Foley Field RF line is 314 lol talk about HS field. My HS lines were 330.

Penn State coach just resigned. Haven't looked at their roster, but it could be a domino that opens up a roster at a good mid major. It's not a great job, but it's still Big Ten.
ETA: RS Frosh Bobby Marsh will probably be the most in demand guy on the roster. L/L OF/1B. They have a COVID year OF that will be able to get on somewhere too.
If they hit the portal, obviously.

Didn't want to go bump an old thread, but man, the guys that went pro from our '22 high school class are nuts.
Snelling has a 1.35 ERA with 27 K in 26 innings
Misorwski has a 2.45 ERA with 25 K in 14 innings
Justin Crawford is slashing .330/387/.392 and 15/17 SB
Romero is out right now but slashed .304/.368/.506 last year in A ball and rookie ball.
Toman is struggling a little but and Kennedy is hurt.
Imagine this team with Snelling and Misorowski...

Seen someone mention Mcnese States Friday night guy. He’s put up some really good stats and has another year. Wonder if he enters the portal.

He’s a senior that transferred from JUCO. I guess he has a Covid year left, but I think he goes pro rather than transfers.
There seems to be a lot confidence that the Freshman Friday guy from Nicholls will hit the portal though.

I think he may be talking about Jacob Mayers. He is freshman from Gonzales that went to St. Amant. His stats on the season is pretty impressive. 2.15 ERA with 1.4 WHIP. 62.2 IP with 92K. Does have 53BB which is high. Still plenty up side it seems though.

Fidel Ulloa seemed to have an off and on year but man, his last two starts were insane.
17 IP, 2 ER, 15 H, 5 BB, 27 K.
He went 9 and 8 innings respectively in his last two starts. I'm not saying it's something we can expect every time, but I think we may have another weekend starter candidate already in the class.

We got a roster full of "upside" guys. Jay needs to bring in kids with command that know how to pitch.

I get that, but there is a reason the kids in the transfer portal from smaller schools are at smaller schools to begin with. What I mean by that is kids with command that know how to pitch aren't exactly everywhere. Most of them are at a bigger school already with no reason to transfer.
