Different Collin Curry. It's an infielder from D2 Salem University.
ETA: Apparently Salem isn't D2 in baseball or something, I'm not sure. But the kid only played 14 games and hit under .300

Yep PG shows him as uncommitted. Noah Franco is a toolsy, large body player with a sweet LHH swing. Hits for both power and average. He's also from Jay's sweet spot, California.

Brad Bohannon fired at Alabama. Their roster and future recruiting classes are about to get raided.

Oh wow
Due to results or is something else besides the gambling story going on?

Perfect storm probably. Results, lawsuit from former player, gambling.

I doubt he's interested in another year of college. He's a redshirt junior already.
I was thinking Kade Woods.

Throw in Alton Davis and Riley Quick in the package.

I wouldn't mind us kicking the tires on JUCO SS Gage Miller that's committed to them.

Jordan followed one of their commitments

I will be traveling the day the portal opens up. I'll try to update the thread when I can, but I don't know how available I'll be.
Please don't be shy about posting new names we're connected to. Tutko has been the go to Portal guy, but Josh Simpson may also be a point person too.

I like JD Dix, no homo. Switch hitting, no homo, throws right, seems very versatile. Room to add to his frame. I wonder if versatility will be a hallmark of this class, from high school, JUCO, and portal. Just kinda get guys in that can play multiple positions and see what works.

This was the Manieri philosophy post 2017. It doesn't work.

It doesn’t work when you do it with the wrong dudes. That was his problem. Jay will get dudes.

Brady Neal is scheduled to play for the YD Red Sox in the Cape Cod League this summer.

Agreed. The difference in personnel from last year to this year is incredible.
Remember when Blake Money was our Friday night guy and the days of Austin Bain hitting cleanup ?
Those two kids are outstanding young men and I thank them for their contributions to LSU. Having said that, the aforementioned roles for them were not ideal.

I'm trying to wrap my head around some dates.
Portal is May 29th thru July 13th.
College world series June 16th-26th.
MLB draft July 9th-11th.
I think the July 13th date is a deadline to enter the portal but not necessarily closing the portal.
There will also be a portal period in December but they would not be eligible that upcoming year with the exception of coaching changes or finacial aid reduced or cancelled.

New MLB.com draft prospect list didn’t change a whole lot for our HS prospects. Johnson and Mitchell moved up a little, Milam still the only other signee on the list in the top 150.
Missed Jake Brown being added to the list at #93. Surprised Kade Anderson doesn’t get more draft hype
