I fully agree. Tenn lost their RB few weeks ago...then BAM, Lyn-J Dixon from Clemson commits to Tenn. I hate it and NIL so much.

Project what do you think about the pickup, does he offer us an upgrade defensively? Safe to assume we don’t have to experiment with dugas in the mif?

He offers experience at multiple infield positions but I can’t say definitively he’s an upgrade. He last played short at Juco. My favorite thing about him is that he’s walked way more than he’s struck out since he’s been in college. At juco, summer league, and VCU.

The main thing is he adds depth and can play 3 positions in the infield if called upon. We needed that big time. I think Thompson will be the Thompson we saw at the end of the season. If he cuts his errors in half that’s a big positive.

My thought is that he won't close the door on 1 more infielder and will probably look for at least 1 pitcher with starting experience (if that even exists) or a project arm. Is Keisel still available?

Does Nippolt qualify for a covid roster spot (36-40l? Everything I'm reading was he was in JUCO in 2020 and 2021 and at VCU this year. Thought you had to be in college in 2019 to qualify for the extra roster spot?
