No Tebrake. No Pineda.

In his write up he mentions Kling and Noot as potential hard signs for the top 100. That is the first comment I've heard on Noot in regards to lean pro or college. Can't be a bad thing if he is mentioned with Kling, who already stated he would be coming to college. Although his name is still in the draft so you can feel completely safe with him just saying that.

Brady Neal at 44 is surprising. Ty Floyd at 160 is also surprising. That is based off potential with thinking MLB would take a shot and hope the consistency comes.
Also, first Ethan Frey ranking I've seen.

That’s a very interesting list. Guidry near the 200 mark and Frey right there with him

That's why I recently asked about Frey. He's a physical freak.
Posted on 7/8/22 at 11:00 am to DRock88
Definitely is. Could have fell under the radar because of football. He never really did any showcases. Also that he played in 2A. Think more and more people are seeing how freakishly athletic he is for his size.

And, he pitched. When I think about him splitting time with football and splitting time between pitcher/catcher, and being really good at all of it, I wonder how good he could be at 1 thing when given full focus.

I don't think Frey is going to be a risk, but I think something like this will help us with him and Guidry in that they split time between the mound and a position like they did.
It will benefit us a lot when Frey and Guidry are just focusing on hitting/field

In the write up McDaniels also said that he expects more players to pull their names from the draft next week leading up to the draft. Here's to hoping we see a few LSU signees in the group of names.

Kling and Jones would make me ecstatic. I know Kling has been adamant about it and Jones is already on campus, but when that offer is in front of them, things can change

As of now, Guidry will continue to be a 2 way player. Johnson said he believes he is a legit 2 way guy in college and can help LSU both on the mound and in the field.

Put Frey’s name into Twitter & you can see he is definitely a circuit guy. Almost all of his footage comes combines & showcases.
I think he just doesn’t quite have an elite tool yet. He has some good ones, and is a 1st off the bus guy, but still had a lot of room to grow.

Guess I meant more national. I knew he did some regional stuff. You may be right with the elite tool thing and that is why he maybe didn't do more national stuff. Or maybe I'm just wrong and don't remember seeing anything on it.

Guidry at 193 is the lowest ranking I have seen in years. I hope his stock remains that low for our sake!
Posted on 7/8/22 at 11:16 am to BayTiger13
They just kind of see him as a more gap to gap guy at the moment. Not that he plays like Jane, but obviously has some more in game power to tap into against better pitching.
They don’t think he’ll stick at Catch either, so
-no elite tool
-doesn’t play a premium position
Pretty good bet to get to campus I think. Great upside that can be a middle of the order guy if they can get him right

Brady Neal at 44
one poster here commented that Guidry is, in jay's eyes, the jewel of the class. For me, it's Neal. hard to stay optimistic on him.

Guidry is a lot like Doughty coming out, maybe with a little less commitment to coming to school. Even still, he’s toolsy, but nothing jaw dropping. And they aren’t sure he can stick at SS.
Comparatively to a kid last year drafted by the Cardinals at 2.54, Masyn Winn. P-SS with loud-loud tools. $2.1mil bonus. Guidry isn’t close to being that kind of guy at the moment.

I can see all of that. 13 homers this season so you know the power is there. Maybe just not against better competition being he played in 2A. If anyone can get him going, it's Jay and Wanaka. Will be fun to see his development.
