I will too. But Jay has just instilled this irrational confidence in us.

I heard part of an interview Coach Jay did with Scona. I think i heard he was there at the team usa game for crews and morgan……..hopefully also doing some recruiting

Honestly wouldnt be shocked if we got all 4 tbh
KR basically said we lead for skenes, Waldrep is a long shot, Williams supposedly set up a visit, and crawford appears to be an LSU lean based on his twitter

Feel like Skenes/Crawford are the most likely but if the rumor on the rant is true, we dropped a bag for Waldrep
Williams is the unknown guy

He is.

He’s just unlikely to come back to school

I just looked at Crawford’s likes and I don’t think he’s liked anything non LSU related for a week

Thats great, but if/when he is drafted in the top 2 rounds, he will leave. Although i admit, if he were ready to go pro, its weird how much he is liking lsu stuff

He could be liking the LSU stuff as leverage because just like us, scouts see that.

But what I think could also happen is this: you're looking at a LEFTY that can reach triple digits on the mound. However, he only put in 7 2/3 innings the season before last. Heads to the Cape and shows his stuff on the mound briefly, then has to get TJ.

I'd imagine he goes mid second round, which comes with a $1.5 million slot, assuming he gets full slot coming off an injury. I can't find draft ranking history, but I'd bet he was a top 15 prospect before the surgery.

If in his mind he thinks "If I can go to LSU, pick up some NIL money along the way, show my arm is just like new and showcase my stuff at that level" and regains that top 15 ranking or better, he's looking at a $4-5 million slot and still holds leverage

So nobody new entered the portal yesterday for the deadline? I expected more, but I guess it makes sense. The draft is the bigger concern for any possible returning players.

It takes two days after a player notifies the university for it to show up in the portal. So we don't know for sure yet.

I'm actually a little surprised more players don't enter, just in case. Unless you are 100% sure you are safe, why wouldn't you?

I'm not sure. I'm just thinking if I'm a pitcher on the current roster and I'm towards the bottom, I'm not feeling real secure.

I don't know what pitchers make it through the draft or how many more come from the portal.

So if I don't enter the portal and I'm released by my current team, can I sign elsewhere after being released? What are there options if they don't enter portal but don't make the cut?

I’m sure Jay has had ongoing conversations with all of the players about where they stand and what their options are at each juncture. Some may even have the redshirt option.
