100% I just think it’s a bit odd how someone who has zero sights set on another college is in the portal and liking every update possible from our off-season lol

And Naptime is making hints about him....

It's his "meet my number or I'm heading to LSU"

Lotta dreaming and hoping around this program of late.

And finally we have a coach hustling his @$$ off to make the team better.

This is what we always wanted!

At this point he's liked more stuff about LSU baseball than I have, and I have been a fan my whole life.

Exactly and my thought process is that his number is probably sky high. He was a projected top 5 pick before his injury and probably feels like he doesn’t just need to take second round money. Im just thinking it might be realistic for him to go to school for one more year and up his stock easily. Idk how hesitant his one injury makes him though. Maybe this is where Wes Johnson comes in to seal the deal

This past 2 weeks have been so exciting. I just can’t believe CJJ is just dragging all over everyone with these transfers.

Maybe he believes in a worst case scenario he can come here and cement himself as a top half of round 1 hitter, and whatever he can do on the mound would be a bonus.

Well, he has only pitched 8 innings in college. It’s possible teams don’t feel comfortable selecting him in the second or third round.

His career seems pretty weird considering he was an every day guy in the lineup in 2021 but barely threw. Did he just hit despite having/needing Tommy John or did they just not pitch him? He recorded one out as a freshman but had several at bats as well. Seems weird.

From what it looks like, he just didn’t pitch that much and then last summer was touching 100 in the cape then got hurt in the fall.

He pitched for Team USA and blew up (he hit as well). After that, the expectation was for him to be in their rotation. The draft hype was built off the Team USA stuff.

I just spoke with my son-in-law who is an ortho surgeon. He says almost everybody with Pars defect recovers fully by six months. One year max recovery time. So Hurd should be good to go for next season.

Where does LSU stand with Hurston Waldrep and Tanner Hall? Waldrep has electric stuff with a 97 mph fastball, but Hall’s low walk numbers are very intriguing, especially being a Louisiana guy from Zachary HS. I would love to pull one of them. Any shot?

Any chatter about who will replace Fitzgerald on staff?
